This is my first attempt about writing a story about Fem!Connor and Haytham. Please be gentle with your reviews! Hope you enjoy the first chapter~!

It started out as a simple task, though Connor knew working with Haytham could never be simple. No matter how much she wished it could. Connors thoughts wandered, as she absent-mindedly grabbed her tomahawk from the shelf beside her bed, sliding it into her belt. Why had her father insisted on having her help with this mission? The man was perfectly capable of doing it himself! Connor hastily grabbed her belongings and threw them into her knapsack, eyes furrowed in agitation. She would be glad when this was over.

Haytham was not a patient person. He paced back and forth, in front of the Davenport Manor, anxiously awaiting his daughters appearance. Secretly, his greatest hope was to convince Connor to leave the brotherhood, and join the Templars. This mission seemed easy enough for a father, daughter team to accomplish. Would it be enough time to convert her? He had to play his cards right. What would Ziio do? What would she think? This was one of the times he missed having her around. He looked up as he heard footsteps coming toward him. Connor stood at the doorway, holding her napsack, face unreadable. Haytham held his tongue, determined to keep the peace. They walked off together in uncomfortable silence, Connor dragging a few paces behind. She had a feeling this was going to be a long journey.

The horses greeted them noisily as they neared the stable. Haythams white stallion stood proud and tall, white mane flowing like a river down his back. Lightning approached Haytham as he enticed him with a green apple. Thunder clumsily trotted over to Connor, searching her hand for a juicy treat. Though carrots weren't juicy, he gobbled them up instantly. The solid black gypsy horse never looked quite groomed, his wild mane tossled in every direction. Haytham waited impatiently as Connor prepped Thunder for the long trip ahead. Her father watched her with wary eyes, hoping this trip would bring them closer together.

Father and daughter mounted their horses simultaneously. "What is this mission about exactly?" Connor asked, nudging Thunder to catch up with Lightning.

Haytham glanced at Connor. "Some important medical supplies were stolen from the infirmary in a small town just outside of Boston. The Redcoats are suspects in this crime. Our main task is to retrive the supplies and return them to the infirmary as quickly as possiable."

Connors eyes widened slightly. "Why is this mission so important to you, and tell me again why you need me to come along?"

"I need your tracking skills." Haytham stated simply, pulling back on Lightnings reins. "People will die without these supplies."

Connor brought Thunder to an abrupt halt. "Since when have you been concerned about the wellfair of others, father?"

"I'm not the monster you make me out to be, Connor." Haytham said, defending himself.

"Hm." Connor mumbled under her breath. They continued on in silence.
