The Missing

"Have you seen Sara today?" Gil Grissom eagerly asked Warrick Brown.

"No, I haven't seen her at all. Why?" Warrick asked as he poured himself a cup of joe.

"I haven't seen or spoken to her in two days. Have you?" Grissom asked, still with an eager voice.

"You know, now that I think about it, I haven't seen her in a while. She never misses work. I'll drop by her place during break, check up on her," Warrick offered.

"Thanks," Grissom said. He turned around and walked off.

Break…

"Sara, you there?" Warrick asked as he gently knocked on her apartment door.

There was no answer but her front door slowly opened as he knocked again, harder this time.

Warrick pushed the door open further and took a step inside. Flipping on the light, Warrick did a double take as he scanned the room. The normally immaculately cleaned apart was a complete mess.

I stepped in further and noticed that Sara's laptop was on the floor as was her cup of coffee, leaving a stain on the ivory colored rug.

"Sara?" Warrick called again as he made his way towards the laptop and coffee cup.

He pulled out his cell phone and phoned Grissom.

"Gil Grissom."

"Griss, it's Warrick. I need you to get down here right now. I'm at Sara's. Bring everyone else. Oh and Griss, don't forget your kit."

"What are you talking about?"
