OOOOO

My husband is my life, yet I need not to use empty words, for my acts speak for themselves. I let my body be entered by a slave in the hopes that seed would take hold and Quintus could some day name his own son. The wish has not been granted, yet perseverance has not worn under the weigh of time.

A tall shadow kept away the sun he needed to grow, and I axed the tree that almost destroyed him. And he dared call him 'son'.

My husband is my world, and I stand as proud wife, silent when needed, my tongue at his service when asked. Together steering the reins of the villa. With him, the House of Batiatus has risen high as never before, upon its own ashes, like a proud Phoenix.

My husband is my heart, and my soul. His touch, that of a god, gentle or firm, as the occasion requires, as our bodies desire.

My thoughts arouse me, and my beloved is absent. Rising from my bed, I command my slave so I can quench my thirst.

"Naevia, send for Ilithyia."
