My first RVB fanfic. Red vs. Blue belongs to Roosterteeth.
"It's over, Epsilon. You're coming with us." The man in the gray armor gazed down coldly at his former AI.
"I'm not going anywhere with you!" Church spat, struggling to get up. He let out a grunt of pain as he tried to move his injured leg.
"I'm sorry to hear that. Meta, hand me the capture unit. Doc, you hold Epsilon still."
The purple medic looked around frantically. "Who? Me?"
"Yes! Do you see any other Docs? Grab him you idiot, and don't let him escape!"
The medic looked down at the Blue Team leader who was clutching the leg that Tex had shot and glaring at the three men surrounding him. "Why? It's not like he can go anywhere…" Wash reloaded his pistol and pointed it at the injured blue soldier.
"If you don't grab him then I'll just have to shoot him in the other leg so he can't get away." Doc was silent for a moment as he considered his options. Being a pacifist, he opted for the choice that would cause his friend the least amount of pain.
"Hey! What the fuck man?!" Church screeched angrily as Doc pulled his hands behind his back. "I'm really sorry, Church! I don't have any other choice!" The AI twisted violently, trying to free himself from the medic's surprisingly strong grip. "Let me go you fucking asshole!"
Wash turned to the Meta and quickly took the capture unit from him. "This will hurt a lot less if you hold still, Epsilon."
"Fuck off!" Church snarled, still trying desperately to free himself. He suddenly froze as he heard the sound of metal being unsheathed and looked up just in time to see the capture unit swing toward him. He screamed in agony as the metal spike buried itself in his chest plate. Church's vision began to fade as he was forcefully pulled out of the robotic body and into the unit.
Wash let out a tired sigh as he clipped the Epsilon unit to his back. He turned to the white armored behemoth next to him. "I'll radio in and let them know we've got him secured. Keep an eye on the unit in case Epsilon tries anything." Meta growled and positioned himself behind the other Freelancer, ready to act if the unruly AI tried to free himself. Maine was amused that Wash trusted him enough to turn his back on him. It would be so easy for him to just kill the Freelancer and take the AI for himself… Maine shook himself and pushed that thought to the back of his head. There would be plenty of time to kill him later…
