The smell of peaches floated through the summer air in Georgia, making Joe's mouth water.
"MMMM, those peaches smell good, can we stop and get some?" asked Joe
"Why not? We haven't eaten lunch yet." said Frank with a smirk.
Frank pulled into the next fruit stand there was, there was a boy probably fifteen years old with black hair and light green eyes at the stand standing next to a girl who was probably seventeen years old with strawberry blonde hair and light hazel eyes.
Then, she looked up, and saw them.
Joe and Frank walked up the stand and pointed to the peaches, telling the girl that they wanted some.
"That will be eight dollars," stated the boy.
"For a peach?" exclaimed Joe, he was shocked.
"Marc, what the hell?", the girl gasped then she walked gracefully over to the boarded stand, "peaches are twenty-five cents, not freakin' eight dollars! God dang it!"
"Sorry Grace, sorry guys," he mumbled looking at his shoes, as if they were suddenly the most interesting thing in the world.
"Here, its a dollar," Frank said, breaking the silence.
"B-but its only twenty-five cents," Grace stuttered, looking at him shyly.
"It's a tip."
"Thank you very much," Grace said and softly grabbed the dollar, putting it in the cash register.
They all said their goodbyes and then Frank and Joe left, as they were scampered to their orange van, Joe asked a simple question,
"Can I drive?"
At his lack of a response, Joe looked over at Frank and noticed him looking over his shoulder at something. Confused, he stopped walking and looked back. He saw that girl, Grace, the one who had sold them their peaches.
His eyes widened in realization, he realized what was happening. Frank was falling in love with the peach girl.
The next morning, Frank was still in an awe-struck state. He walked all around the house with a glazed look in his eyes. Joe knew something what would surely bug him.
"Hey, Frank, wanna go get some peaches? The ones we had yesterday were absolutely scrumptious! Whaddya think?" Joe asked, nonchalently, as if it meant nothing.
"Oh...er...yeah, of course. Lets go...wait a second though!" Frank stuttered through his sentence, looking clearly nervous. Then, he turned around and ran upstairs.
Joe sat down and sighed, waiting for his brother to finish whatever he needed to do. If he truly was in love, then he would do whatever it took for his brother to end up happy.
"I'm ready!" Frank shouted and he ran down the stairs. Joe chuckled as he saw that his brother had clearly combed his hair and washed his face. He also smelled a bit of colon on Frank. He just turned around and started walking towards the truck, he could sense Frank following him.
Soon enough they had arrived and the stand that they had boughten peaches the day before. Frank was tense, obviously the thought of seeing the light-haired goddess he saw yesterday made him nervous.
"Frank, calm down, you've got nothing to worry about, after all, we're only buying peaches."
"Yes. Peaches. Calm." Frank gasped out, he was almost hyperventilating. Joe rolled his eyes, he was clearly excited to see what would happen.
They both exited the car and Joe turned to tell Frank one more time that it would be all right, but he was gone.
