"But if he's willing to help…"
That's been nagging at me all week. Since Amy said it I've been like, "Yeah, but he wants to rescue her! And what if she wants to be rescued? It's not like Ben is George and will make Amy think she needs to repay him. He's in LOVE with her, for goodness sake! He won't LET her repay him. All he wants is to marry her and love her for the next like eighty years."
But anyway. I don't remember when I started writing this (probably like a week ago), but it's mine. :D
I own NOTHING.
Amy and Anne's first couple of lines were kinda hard to hear and understand, so they may not be perfect…
"So what are you most afraid of?" Anne asked gently.
Amy breathed a laugh. "That it'll hurt."
"Oh, it will. Don't worry, I'll be right there with you. What else?"
"I don't want Ashley to have problems because of me. I don't want anyone to say anything to her. And I don't want her to think that this is romantic at all just because of Ben."
Anne laughed again. "I'm sure she won't. I'm not sure she's even interested in boys right now. I hope she's not interested in boys right now. Or ever, for that matter."
Amy smiled, sympathetic to her mother's fear, and stood up, yawning.
"I'm kinda tired. I think I'm gonna go to bed."
Anne stood too, pulling Amy into a hug and kissing her forehead. "Good night, Amy."
"'Night, Mom."
With that, Amy headed to her room, changed into pajamas, and climbed into bed, staring at the ceiling as a bunch of thoughts raced through her head.
Ben wanted to take care of her, and she really did want him to help. He was probably the most genuine teenage boy on the planet, and he was in love with her. She was pregnant with another guy's baby and Ben wanted to marry her.
And Ben wouldn't make her feel like she had to "repay" him—wouldn't let her repay him. All he wanted was to marry her and take care of her and the baby. If she tried to repay him—and Amy couldn't imagine how she would—he would probably insist she didn't need to do anything to thank him. He'd probably insist that marrying him was thanks enough. Or some other cheesy line like that.
But Amy found herself smiling at the cheesiness. So what if Ben said something cheesy or ridiculous? He was practically her fiancé, and she loved how he was always saying silly things to try and cheer her up.
If only her parents would let them get married, Amy was sure everything would be fine. The baby would have a father, Ben would be ecstatic, and Amy knew Ben and his dad would take care of her and the baby...
So why couldn't Ben be her prince?

Mer?
I actually kinda prefer writing from Ben's perspective, since I'm a little more like him than I am Amy… But hey. For a quick little Amy-centric piece, I suppose it's okay.
