"The Mystery"
"Where am I?" He looked around the room. He saw nothing more than a shack with planks as walls. He tried to sit up, but a sharp pain stabbed him in the side. When he looked down at his side, he was surprised to see it was blue, but stitched. Who am I.is my name.Carl? No, Car.line? No.Car.los? Yes! His name was Carlos! But where am I? He wondered. He again looked around, and a beautiful woman walked into the room. "It's about time you got up! You've been asleep for two days!" His vision was still foggy, but he could definitely recognize her from somewhere. Her head was covered in bandages, and she was definitely not having the best day of her life, but she was rather pretty. "You don't remember me, do you?" She asked. The nurse replied before him, which was good, as he knew nothing to say to this stranger. "Tramau induced Amnesia. Plus, that blow to the head couldn't have helped. He won't remember a thing until he has what we call a memjar. There is a machine in London that opens deposits of memory in the brain, inducing a "snap back" effect, if you will." "Where is it?" "Well, here's the location." She handed a slip of paper to her. "Now, I have a brother in Berlin who-" She was cut off by a whizzing dart. It barely pierced her skin, and released sedative. She ell instantly asleep.
"Man, this is the 3rd time I've been in a gunfight this week. Listen, bud, whether you have good memory or not, you're gonna have to fight." He got slowly out of bed, which was a pain in itself. Suddenly though, he felt a burst of power and speed. He felt a sharp poke in his butt, and then saw the woman withdrawing a needle. "Wha?!" "Don't worry, it's pain reliever with some Nicrotendine. It'll speed you up a little, and relieve your pain." They stopped by the door, armed with their 9 MM Special Edition Smith and Wesson Medusa side arms. They kicked out the door, and opened fire. They ran through the gun shots, and took cover behind crates. When they finally did get to the gates of the beach they were apparently on, they realized they had no way to travel away. Then they saw the car and the truck. There in the driveway was a 69 Mach 1 mustang, and a El Camino 84.
The gates busted wide open as Amy drove the Mach 1 as fast as it could go with Carlos hanging outside the window returning fire. When he slipped back in, he looked her way. "I don't know you, or anything about myself." He said. She replied, "Don't worry, we're going to Winslow bank. You left yourself some clues apparently, and this note." She handed him a note, and then a key. It read:
Dear Carlos,
If you're reading this, chances are the info exchange went bad, so here's the deal:
I left two things for you, both of which will be given to you by a lifeguard waiting in a boat down below. One of them is an envelope of 20 important things of your life. It will give you clues to your identity, because I don't think you'll be remembering much of the incident when you fall from the cliff, much less be alive. Secondly, my other most prized possession: A gold plated PK7 Special Edition with a screw on silencer. Good luck, and goodbye,
Carlos
And so the rode off into the sun, to their first destination: Winslow Bank.
