Author's Note: I realized after writing this that this is a lot like arglefumph/Michael Grey's interpretation of Mel's room and Nancy's reaction to it... please forgive me for that, as I was not trying to copy Michael. But anyways, please enjoy and review this one-shot!

The Horrors of Pink

"Where's that cello music coming from?"

"Next door. That's Mel Corbalis." Corrine said in response to Nancy's question.

Nancy nodded with a smile. "Thanks. I should go meet some of the other girls – I'll talk to you later."

"Bye,"

With that, the redheaded detective waltzed out of her new dorm and made her way to Mel's door. When she arrived at the said destination, Nancy rapped on the door.

"It's not locked." A voice - presumably Mel's - called from inside.

Satisfied with this answer, Nancy turned the knob on the door and took a step inside. Unfortunately, a step was as far as she got.

"AAAAAHHHHHH!"

Mel's room was pink. Granted, a lot of it was black, but a giant portion of it was pink.

Mel blinked awkwardly. "Is there something wrong with my hair?"

But Nancy didn't answer. She just ran out of the room, still screaming. She ran until she exited the school building, all the while screaming about the horrors of pink.

And that whole time, poor Mel Corbalis thought that it was her hair.
