Hey guys! So I had this idea a while ago and thought that it'd be really heartbreaking, but it turned out really emotionless, without creativity, and just full of dialogue. I hope it's ok!
"Ms. Lance?" Rip quietly asked from the door of his office.
"Yeah, Rip?" Sara confusedly looked at Rip, his normal exhausted voice was gone.
"Could you meet me in my office for a moment?" He fidgeted his fingers.
Sara paused. "Yeah, sure." She followed him to the golden-lighted office and closed the glass sliding-doors.
"I suppose you are wondering what this is about."
"Yes." She raised an eyebrow.
"We've found a fragment of the Oculus floating in the timestream. Big enough to shape one final thing. I thought, since you lost your sister and Mr. Snart... You should decide what we should do." Rip explained.
"You're asking me who I should save." Sara quietly said. Laurel. Nyssa. Leonard.
"Well, in a matter of speaking, yes." Rip patted her on the shoulder.
"But this should be a team des-" Sara argued.
"It was. I spoke with them yesterday, while you were taming your bloodlust." Rip pointedly said.
"I-I-Rip, I need some time. To think."
"Alright. Dr. Palmer will retrieve the fragment, but it will begin the same fate as the rest of the Oculus approximately 4 hours after it is on board." Rip quickly walked out, seeing that Sara was grabbing the "hidden" key to his cereal/tissue/bowtie stash.
Sara quickly opened the key safe, grabbed Lucky Charms and tissues, and sat down in Rip's armchair. So now. Who to choose.
She considered her options, letting the her left brain make its point. Laurel died by Damien Darkh, but she heard that the Arrow team had already killed Darkh, shortly after she visited. But if she saved Laurel... "Gideon, what would happen if Laurel wasn't killed by Damien Darkh?"
"I'm afraid Mr. Darkh would still escape and less than 3 days later, would capture Detective Lance and Oliver Queen, causing the Arrow team to attempt to rescue them and eventually all of them would perish." Gideon said in an annoyingly cheery accent. Alright. So not Laurel then.
"But what about Lenny and Nyssa?" Her mind reminded her.
Sara thought back to Nyssa, the shared kisses and her beautiful smile. Her heart ached with longing to see her again. But the team, Mick, and Leonard's not-so-subtle love for her, was she going to throw that away?
The team didn't need Nyssa, they didn't need Laurel, they needed, for once, Captain Cold, she thought while chewing a sweet marshmallow.
Sara had made up her mind, and she couldn't wait to see his face again.
