Thanks For The Memories Even Though They Weren't So Great

--

"We need to talk" was the first thing he said to her when he saw her later in the day when both were changing for shift.

"Can it wait or is it really important?"

"It can wait till after shift, say that coffee place down the street?"

"Okay" she smiled and he brought himself to kiss her

"Love you" he told her this time meaning it and leaning in for a kiss before he distanced himself so no one would see them together

"Love you too" she replied back and continued getting ready for shift

"So what was so important that couldn't wait another several hours till after we had cummed?" she had said rather girlishly a new one for her and he had to think that maybe she really was happy with him and he regret having to do this but he did.

"I don't think this is working" he flatly told her, he was too chicken to come out with what he had planned yesterday.

"Me neither that's why I think we should get a place together" her answer had his head shooting up looking her in eye her answer was almost the complete opposite of what he was trying to say. The full and complete opposite would be her asking him to marry her and oh god she was going ask she was all giddy. Now he was nervous.

"That's actually not what I was going to say" his tone serious and the smile on her face disappeared as she came down from her high. Maybe she thought he was going to propose.

"Okay what were you going to say?" her tone light and cheerful

"I think what we have between us just isn't working, it was great while Grissom was gone but now that I can have you all to myself. I'm not sure I want it"

Her mouth opened as if she was to say something but it had opened in pure astonishment.

"I know I broke it off with you when Grissom came back because I couldn't stand the thought of him touching you and I did make you choose but I'm seeing things in a whole new light and I don't think you're over Grissom"

"Are you serious?"

"Actually no what I've just told you is a complete and utter lie…" he visibly saw her shoulders relax and that smile creep up again so he thought he better hurry up and tell her the rest.

"The truth is I can't stand you, never could for the last year or so and I'm being dead serious this time" he gave her no indication that what he was telling her was a joke some half-hearted scheme to make her have a heart attack

"Then…" her mind was having a hard time wrapping around this all

"Then why did I tell you I loved you? One word: Vengeance"

"Vengeance?"

"Ya you broke my heart so I had to break yours"

"So everything you've ever said to me was a lie?"

"Ever since Grissom left yes; it's been one big shit show. I bedded you, made you tell me you love me and leave Grissom for me all to turn around and do this. My revenge to you is complete. I did it" he motioned the waitress over she appeared with a smile filling his cup to the rim

"I'm celebrating how about two slices of the Mississippi Mud Pie" the waitress nodded and left completely unaware of the fuming mad Sara; the information have settled in when Greg began talking with the waitress; he was celebrating. He was one twisted fucker.

Greg didn't speak again until the two pieces of pies came, him digging in immediately

"Mmm..this is rather tasty. You should try yours" he pointed the fork at her untouched slice. She looked at him full of hatred one last time before getting up and leaving saying nothing.

"Well if she's not going to eat hers" he took a big mouthful from her slice and pulled it closer.

A/N: Seems I posted the one coming after this first, whoops. So here is the one you should be reading, still don't own it.
