She Wasn't Ready
She had told Snow she wasn't sure if she was ready to meet the newest member of her family. She wasn't ready. She wasn't even close to being ready. In all honesty Regina hadn't even had time to focus on her feelings concerning the baby at all between Emma becoming the Dark One, going to Camelot, finding themselves back in Storybrooke without their memories, and everything leading up to this moment. But she had to be strong, put on a brave face just like she did for the kingdom in King Leopold's court. She would be happy for Robin. She had to be happy for Robin.
"Robin..." She cooed softly, announcing her presence, holding onto the door frame. He was holding his daughter, looking down at the small bundle in her pink blanket, then he looked up at her.
"Regina...I have a daughter."
Regina nodded softly as she walked up to him and the baby, her smile still plastered on her face. He was overtaken by joy, Regina could see it and she sure as hell wasn't going to ruin it.
"It's wonderful," she replied as she ran her hand through her hair a bit. Here was the small baby, Robin's baby, the newest member of her family and all Regina knew was that despite how much she wished she was, she was not ready.
A/N: This is my take on what was going though Regina's head for those 5 seconds. My tumblr url is problematicouatshipper in case you want to talk about the whole situation, but I warn you. I'm pretty bitter about the storyline in general, let alone how fast they took it, with so little time spent even on it.
