That Is The Question
The sun was shining bright over the trees. Birds were chirping, flowers were blooming. And a beehive fell down directly in front of Pinkie Pie.
"What was that?" she squealed. "Are the bees moving today?"
Fluttershy glided down on her butter-yellow wings. She landed and smiled shyly. "Sorry, Pinkie. But yes, they are!" A bee buzzed over and landed on her ear.
Pinkie grinned. "Okey-dokey-lokey! But this beehive is all smushied!" She prodded it with a hoof to demonstrate, and some honey oozed out onto her hoof. "Yummy honey, though," she obeseved, licking the honey off her hoof.
"Oh. Do you want the old beehive? I was going to get them a new home anyways, I was just flying it around to see if anypony wanted it." Fluttershy showed Pinkie her saddlebag, which was full of sheet metal with hexagonal holes in it.
"Sure, I can do that," said Pinkie. "Can I help you make the new hive?"
Flutterhy nodded, then picked up the honeycomb and wrapped it in a cloth. She put it in her saddlebag and motioned for Pinkie to follow her.
They walked to the edge of the Everfree, where Twilight was also waiting. "Hey," she said. "I'll weld the metal together, and you two can paint it. This was a great idea!" She made the metal into a cube and welded it with a heat spell.
"Thanks, Twilight!" Pinkie picked up a paintbrush in her mouth and painted a field of purple, pink, and yellow flowers on one side. She put a little deer in the corner, and made a big tree.
"Hey Fluttershy," she started. "Should I put a beehive in this tree?"
Fluttershy walked over, holding a palette on her wing, paint splattered in her feathers. Her mane was tied in a ponytail.
"They might think it's their real hive," said Fluttershy.
"I don't know," beamed Pinkie. "I kinda want to do it, but at the same time…"
Fluttershy nodded. "It would look nice. But I'm not quite sure."
Pinkie grinned evilly. "You know, this is really a question of… to bee or not to bee." She pulled drums out from behind her.
"Badum bum tish," the drums said.
