A/N: It`s kinda of a song fic, I was desperately in need of puzzle stuff and it was a pure coincidence this song came up, and I cried immediately. Yes I gave them a peaceful and happy ending, and I believe that. This fic was originally written in Chinese but I tried my best to rewrite it in English, sorry if there`re grammar and wording mistakes :3

Disclaimer: I do not own YGO or anything pertaining to it, neither do I own the song Sleepsong, it`s from Secret Garden.

Sleepsong

May you need never to banish misfortune and separation.

You gazed at him, as he half-lifted himself with an elbow, gazing back with sleepy expression. The bed in his chamber was dotted with diamonds and pearls. You took a deep breath, trying desperately to excuse yourself from his questions of why you were there this early. It was too sudden fou you to came to this far field of fortune, and you finally gave up when meeting his gaze. He did not allow any of your quibbles or excuses.

"...Go to sleep, Mou Hitori No Boku. You have been tired, haven`t you?"

You smiled at him to escape his interrogation, knowing the gentle smile once being his favourite, as well as knowing till you could lie at his side and close your eyes, you were not able to flee from him.

As well as knowing he was not able to flee from you.

"No. I want your answer. You are not supposed to be here this soon."

"If that`s what you want to ask, I was fine after that...I was doing fine! But things are different, you know, Mou Hitori No Boku, crossways are not that safe even if I obey the traffic rules..."

But you were happy at THAT moment, right?

It was like a pupil who, by chance, found other`s cheating note on your desk when doing a test. In a burst of white you saw an angel spreading his wings wide and covering all of your senses. Then you woke up in the heart of the desert where winds hit your milky pale skin with sand. You began to shift, step by step, toward the ancient palace, where the other half of your soul was.

You noticed the hint of exhaustion in his crimson eyes and under his heavy liner, and you also noticed that his gaze: the long-lost resignation from love, and the relief that you had only seen once in your entire life.

He was exhausted, and so was you.

You climbed, submissively, onto his bed and lay down at his side. You wanted to take off your collar, but his tanned hand appeared on yours and stopped you. Closing your eyes, you did not know how to respond him, but resigned when you felt the warm streams crawling down along your cheeks. He did not want to see you cry again, so you had never cried once since that duel.

...But you feel you would be forgiven if you were crying for joy.

Two strong arms found their way at your waist, and another warmth crawled onto your tear-stained cheeks, slowly caressing them and wiping your tears off.

You opened your eyes and see into those dark crimson orbs which were so close to your amethyst ones. You leant forward, pecked his lips with yours.

"It had been so long...so long," you smiled again," Sleep well, Mou Hitori No Boku."

"Welcome back, aibou," he flashed you a smile which you could look through at the first sight but could never decipher, "Sleep sound."

And you reached his neck and hugged him, closing your eyes again knowing him doing this at the same time.

In a blur you thought you had heard someone singing you a sleepsong that had lost for millennia, watching over you sinking into the end of your days and into the never-ending peaceful night.
