Written for Ship Til You Drop (Oliver/Katie)

He smelled the sweet aroma as he entered into the home. It was everywhere. Oliver dropped his bag onto the floor, his quidditch gear making a great deal of noise. She didn't seem to hear him.

Oliver entered into the kitchen, spotting her easily. She stood in the center island. Her black hair was pinned up in a haphazard fashion. There was a smear of butter along her cheek, and possibly egg along her forehead. Flour was dotted along her shirt and jeans. She was a complete mess, but to Oliver, Katie Bell was as gorgeous as ever.

She looked up and saw him, smiling brightly. "Making cookies. Want to help? Already got a batch going."

He only smiled, stepping over to her. He dipped a finger into the cookie dough, scooping some of it into his mouth. "This is really good."

She swatted his stomach lightly with a wooden spoon. "It'll be better when cooked."

"Why wait?" He moved to steal another bite, but she caught his hand in hers.

"I don't think so." Her voice was stern, but the tone of her voice was playful.

Oliver grinned, leaning down to kiss her cheek. A bit of egg stuck to his nose, causing her to smile brightly at him. The moment was one of adoration and love, and Katie wanted to stay like that forever.

The oven dung, breaking them apart. Katie left his side to pull the batch of freshly baked cookies out, and placed them on the over. She turned back to Oliver, who was smiling widely, his hand held above them. She opened her mouth to speak as the flour began to fall around them like Christmas snow. She looked up, giggling at his actions.

Then she dug her hand into a pile of flour, and tossed a handful at him. And that was how it started, what they would later that night deem as the Great Flour War of 2003.

Flour went everywhere. It covered the kitchen in a snowy mess. The fresh batch of cookies had a layer of flour over it. The dough was no longer good as it too was coated in flour.

Oliver and Katie stood in the middle of it, arms wrapped around one another and laughter on their lips.
