For the Mixed It Up Challenge- Sirius/Ginny

I don't own anything.

Sirius knew that from the second he first saw Ginevra Weasley that she was something.

She held herself tall and proud (Which, Sirius admitted, at first reminded him of Lily so much that it hurt), her light brown eyes always ablaze with stubbornness or shining brightly with amusement and laughter, and her laugh, oh Merlin her laugh was something so magical and light it made him feel like a giddy teenager again.

The Black felt that he now understood the Potter attraction to redheads.

She made him laugh- playing pranks, cracking jokes during dinner, smiling and laughing in such dangerous times- and before he knew it, Sirius found himself falling in love with her easy-going stubborn self.

The look of intense concentration when she was scrubbing at all of his family's old antiques, the peaceful look on her face when she was reading one of her school text books, the kindness and worry shining in her face that one time he had tripped down the stairs…

The last time anyone had ever looked at him with concern was before the murder of James and Lily, when all the Marauders (Peter was missing, said his Mum was sick, if only they knew then) were around at James and Lily's house for dinner, a week before Halloween. Sirius remembered the soft looks Lily gave him, the ones of worry, like he was her child who constantly got into trouble. The grey eyed man knew that his feelings for Lily were platonic (although, during his school days he did have an attraction to the beautiful girl, but hey, mates before dates, if James liked her then who was he to take his girl?) and at first her constantly worrying and fussing over him was rather annoying, but Sirius couldn't imagine her without thinking of her worried face peering at him and asking 'Are you alright?' in her soft, charming, and sweet voice.

So when he saw Ginny asking him 'Are you alright?' with worry shining in her eyes, her voice soft, charming, and sweet…

It stirred something inside of him, and reminded him of his attraction to Lily.

James might have taken Lily, but Ginny was like Lily was reincarnated… If he couldn't have the real thing, then why couldn't he have the second one? Maybe it was wrong to lead the poor girl on, but he was attracted to her, her soft gentle ways, her stubbornness, her fun personality, was that wrong?

Maybe he didn't originally love Ginny for being Ginny, but perhaps he could learn to.

After all, she was different then Lily was, Lily would never dare play a prank and would instead yell at the Marauders.

Then why was he unhappy when Ginny played a prank?

Why was he still attracted to a dead woman who was like a sister to him?

Why was he acting the way he was around Ginny?

Sirius now understood the Potter curse for their love of redheads.

They were so bloody confusing, but that didn't stop him from falling in love with them.
