They had been tracking the demon for at least a week. Three dead, and one more well on their way by the time they had made it to the old warehouse. It was when they were entering Sam saw it, something was moving just ahead of them. He motioned up ahead to Dean, who just gave him a blank look and a shrug. He hadn't seen anything.
Never the less, Sam took two strides ahead of him with his gun aimed and surveyed the two connecting rooms. Whatever it was, it was either gone or hiding. Suddenly he heard a crash and felt himself being thrown forward.
"Shit!" Sam started, that hadn't been him and God knows it wasn't Dean. He look to his side and saw a girl next to him.
"What the," Sam grabbed the holy water and splashed her with it, "Who are you?"
The holy water had absolutly no effect.
The girl didn't look dangerous, if anything she looked concerned.
She jumped to her feet and ran out of the room. Sam followed her and knelt outside the door where Dean had fallen; the demon had thrown him into the wall. He went to pick him up as he heard another crash and watched as the girl led the demon right onto where Dean and him had drawn the devil's trap that morning. It was then that he noticed that she didn't have a latin book or anyway to exorcise him. "Heads up!" He threw over the book and she looked at him like he had grown two heads.
She began to chant something in a completely different tongue, it wasn't English but it wasn't Latin either. Sam wasn't even sure if she was talking, the chant sounded almost musical. The demon screamed and writhed under the trap as the chanting swelled. It started yelling something back at her, which just made her chant louder. Sam couldn't quite make it out, but it sounded like it was yelling a name. The trap had broken, but the demon still couldn't seem to move. The girl's chanting slowed as the black smoke began to pour out of the host's mouth. The host collapsed and the girl turned back towards Sam, who was just sort of gaping at her.
"People catch flies that way you know. Let's get outside so I can see your brother better." She walked past Sam without leaving much room for debate.
"Who are you? Wait nevermind, what are you? Who sent you? Ruby? Because you can tell her to screw off. Whatever her plan is, I'm not buying in on it."
"What the hell is this twenty questions? I'm not a demon, if thats what you're asking and I'm sure as hell not in league with Ruby. For now you can call me Izzie, and if you're all that worried you can make me drink holy water. Dean's going to have a nasty headache when he gets up, but I think he'll be fine."
She began to walk away before Sam even had a chance to register what she had said.
"Wait, where are you going?"
She just smiled at him as Dean began coughing behind him.
"Dude I think I got hit by a semi." Sam turned around to face his brother as Izzie started laughing.
"Don't give up on him just yet Sam. I'll be at Bobby's in a few days time. If you want answers, come find me then. I'm afraid I'm far too busy to be having this conversation right now. But soon."
She began to walk away again, and as she walked she began to glow again. He looked away when it got too bright and then she was gone.
Dean was sitting up as he looked up at Sam, "Let me be the first to say, What the fuck?"
Sam sighed, "How far away is Bobby's from here?"
"Ten hours. Why?"
"Because we apprantly have yet another chick following us"
Dean just groaned and threw himself back on the ground.
