A/N: Hey guys. So, Elemental Clan is under rewrite. The original story has been deleted because I know I can do better and don't feel like editing it. That would be too much work. Most of the characters will remain similar to the original, but the setting, plot, theme was all off. I recently reread it and decided I rushed the plot too much and lacked in the detail department. So, without further ado, I give you the rewritten first chapter of Elemental Clan.

Becoming a Rogue

Got to get away. Need to go. Thoughts like these invaded Rainshadow's mind as she ran through the forest to the river. The past few weeks had been too much for her. Cinderheart had died, attacked by a badger, Lionblaze had retreated into himself after, the clan had been the last to abandon Starclan, but they still did, and Icetail, the tom she loved, mated another she-cat. The final insult to her life happened during one of Lionblaze's outbursts. He had told her it was her fault Cinderheart had died. It was a complete lie he'd told himself but somewhat founded. Rainshadow often wondered if her mother would still be alive if she had been with her.

She reached the rushing river and dived in. She went limp and let the water carry her away from the clan, if it could be called that, she wanted no part of. She was carried into the lake, where she kicked out, swimming to the island on the other side. She pulled her drenched self up the shore, sand caking into her raven black fur, and collapsed, closing her golden eyes. Swimming had exhausted her, even though she was one of the best swimmers by the lake. Laying on the shore, the sun drying her pelt, and Rainshadow fell asleep.

A tabby she-cat watched Rainshadow from the Riverclan side of the lake. Gracefully, she stood and walked around the lake, disappearing halfway there. Near the Windclan border, a dark brown tom flicked his ears.

"It's nice to not see you again, Lightstorm," he said. Light flickered in the place he was looking at and the tabby she-cat reappeared.

"It's good to see you too, Nightheart," Lightstorm said. She sighed. "Your powers are so unfair."

"You can disappear, Nightheart offered.

"But you can feel me," she complained.

Nightheart laughed. "I can feel everyone touching the ground. Including the cat that just fell asleep on the island."

Lightstorm nodded. "I came to talk about her."

Nightheart tilted his head. "Oh?"

"I think she might be like us."

"Why do you think that?"

"She's from Thunderclan, yet she can swim really well."

"Huh. Maybe. Or she could just be a good swimmer?"

Lightstorm looked at him. "That's another theory."

Nightheart shook his head. "I suggest you keep watching her. See if she expresses any peculiar abilities."

"Peculiar like bending light and moving the ground?"

"Yeah."

"Okay. I have to head back to my clan. They need medicine, even if it's without Starclan."

Nightheart nodded. "Hear ya later." She nodded as she disappeared once more.

A/N: Alright, the first chapter has been completed. Hope ya'll enjoyed, even if it was a little short.
