Reinhardt was many things, a brother, a mage knight, a general, the thunders fist, and even the second coming of Tordo to some, but a teacher he was not.

"Do I look okay?" Reinhardt fidgeted with a bow tie, his usual garb removed for a brown dress suit. He found this completely uncomfortable and far more restrictive than his usual garb, but Kiran had told him that this was the outfit of teachers in his world, so out of respect to the summoner Reinhardt followed his advice. Speaking of which the reason he was dressed like so was because of Kiran. With Askr's army expanding in hopes of combating Surtr; Kiran had hoped to start up a separate garrison of just mages to aid in the combat. Kiran had asked Reinhardt to teach these young recruits in the ways of magic; reasoning that there was no better teacher than a mage general. While Reinhardt personally believed that someone like Cecilia or the Robins would be a better choice, he took up the offer regardless, firmly believing it to be a great honour to be asked by the Summoner himself.

"Hmm? Oh. You look fine" came the reply of his sister Olwen who sat crossed legged on a couch; her hands cupping the bottom of her face. Then more bitterly she added "although I can't believe the summoner asked you of all people to be around children..."

Reinhardt paused and stopped fidgeting with his uncomfortable wear

"Hm? Sister what do you mean by that?"

Olwen frowned.

"Perhaps if the summoner knew more about your past he would be less inclined to leave you anywhere near the young..."

Reinhardt sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. This Olwen was his sister, but also wasn't at the same time. Due to the nature of summoning; Olwen was summoned from after his death, while he appeared from obviously before it (what a strange thing to think about). He knew of course she despised him, and while the siblings found some level of enjoyment in getting to fight side by side once more, Reinhardt knew his sister still bore resentment for his part in everything Lord Julius had done.

"Olwen you know I took no part in the child killings..."

"But you stood by and did nothing, that makes you just as responsible!"

"Olwen please! You know as Lady Ishtars personal bodyguard it is- was my sworn duty to-"

"Gods! It's always been Lady Ishtar this and Lady Ishtar that with you isn't it? The brother I knew would have never stood idle as innocents were in danger! What happened to him? What happened to you? you may not exactly be my brother, but you're certainly just as pathetic as he was!"

Her eyes grew soft for a second as if saying those words pained her as much as it did him to listen to them. Then just as quickl y they grew hard again and she stormed off.

"Olwen wait!"

Reinhardt cursed and looked at the clock. 5 minutes to go before he had to address the class, certainly not enough time to track down Olwen and find a way to make up with her. Reinhardt sighed, running a hand through his hair, this was not going to be a fun day.

Despite the argument with his sister, Reinhardt remained undeterred in giving his lecture, he had quite the crowd to work with and actually found it quite easy to teach. Magic made him feel giddy inside and he explained its importance and power to his class with almost childlike glee. By the time he was wrapping up he was actually feeling pretty good about the teaching thing.

"So in conclusion magic is a fundamental art, not just for war but for culture itself. I urge all of you to take the time to practice magic, start off small, find a buddy to keep an eye on you. Remember this is an archaic art, not a toy for making things catch on fire. With that being said allow me to give a small demonstration" he said as he waved with his hand; summoning wind magic to open the doors to the main hall

"Class dismissed"

Reinhardt was feeling quite proud of himself, now all he needed to do was to track down Olwen and figure out some way of wording an apology, then perhaps she'd-

"Booooring"

Snapped out of his thoughts Reinhardt looked to the direction that the noise had come from "huh?"

"That's it? Your demonstration is to open a door? Pfff I can do that without magic!"

The class began to snicker; Reinhardt felt his face go red

"T-That was just merely a simple demonstra- the things you can do with magic are limitless! Young man as an adept Mage I promise you there is so much more I can do than just opening a door! I-It's just that seeing as this is the first class; I thought it best to just-"

"You're lame!"

More laughter

Reinhardts jaw dropped. They just called him lame. No one has *ever* called him lame! To resort to such a petty insult... That's something he would never-

"I'm not lame! You're lame!"

"Magic is stupid!"

"How DARE you! Magic is everything!"

"No one cares about your party tricks!"

"Show us something cool!"

"Booooooo!"

Reinhardt grit his teeth in frustration, his knuckles turning white from gripping the desk as the class continued to boo and throw crumpled balls of paper at him.

"You want cool?!" He seethed as he reached into his bag; pulling out his beloved Dire Thunder, the air began to smell of ozone, the bright sunny skill became a swirling mess of dark clouds

Too late some of the less rowdy children immediately quieted down; realizing their mistake in pushing the mage general too far

"ILL SHOW YOU COOL!"

And with that the roof exploded as bright white lightning bolts cascaded down upon the room, bolts of lightning exploded around people, smashing through pillars and turning empty chairs into piles of ash, the violent lightning storm swirled through the room as Reinhardt cackled like a mad man.

"Do you see the power of magic!? Not just some cheap party trick now huh?! Hahaha!"

Finally after what seemed like an eternity the dangerous light show ended. Reinhardt stood at the front panting; his hair messy and disheveled. The class remained frozen in a stunned silence... Before mass hysteria broke loose as students screamed and trampled over each other to get to the door.

"NO WAIT I DIDN'T MEAN IT" called Reinhardt, little to late as the room emptied itself. Reinhardt sighed; surveying the damage he had done, his hands on top of his head as he estimated repair costs as the cleaning Legions began to pour in; barking orders to each other in broken English with the occasional "oh no Legion sees much is brokenses"

Suddenly once again his thoughts were interrupted, but this time by clapping and laughter

In the front row were 2 of the Valentian mages; Boey who was currently cowering under a chair in a fetal postition, and Mae who was doing the clapping and laughing.

"That. Was. AMAZING. Did you see that Boey?! Now *that's* big hurty lightning!"

"Quiet Mae! You're going to get us turned into charred corpses!" The green mage shot back; his voice cracking

"Ugh! Don't be such a funslayer Boey you boob!" Mae said with her hands on her hips before turning to Reinhardt

"Mister you have GOT to show me how to do that!"

Reinhardt stared in blank confusion before despite himself a smile tugged at the edges of his lips

"Well seeing as I likely just got myself fired, I'm sure I can fit you into my schedule."

Mae cheered, Boey muttered something about wanting to go home, and Reinhardt though proven today that he perhaps shouldn't be let within 500 feet of a child, at least had a story he was sure would make his sister laugh, even despite their differences... Assuming he could get her to speak to him.
