"Ginny, your parents would like to see you." Ginny turned around from writing a letter to her best friend, Luna Lovegood. She saw her old governess Nymphadora Tonks. She didn't like to be called Nymphadora but Tonks. She had pink hair and warm eyes. Everyone loved her when they saw her. Tonks was with Ginny since Ginny turned ten. It has been eight years since then.
Ginny got up from her desk. Her red hair was in bum behind her head. There was a smile on her face and in her warm brown eyes. Ginny left her chambers to her parents' chambers. As she walked, servants would bow down for her. Ginny was a princess in Slaweye. She was the only girl after coming from six boys. All of them had the Weasley red hair. Her oldest brother, Bill was in line to get the crown after their father. Bill was married to a princess from a distance land. They had a little girl name Victoire and Ginny was in love with her niece. Bill and Fleur weren't too worried about having a boy with five brothers behind Bill. There was Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, and Ron.
Charlie loved to work with the animals that were on the castle grounds. He was never going to get married because he in love with the animals. Percy was getting married soon to a girl from their country. He was an advisor to their father. The twins Fred and George loved to travel beyond their country. They always came back with stories from where ever they went. Ron was in the army, he was commander of the army. He was great with men and knew how to lead them. He was the only one that was not living in the castle with them, he had a house near where the army barracks were. Ginny thought that Ron needed a wife so he could get away from the army some time.
Ginny was the only girl and youngest that came in several generations. Ginny liked to rough it with the boys but had to set an example for the girls in the kingdom. So she had to be on her best behavior when she was around them or even walking around her own home, you never know who was around the corner. She knew something was going to happen with her soon with danger looming in the north.
Ginny came to the door of her parents' chambers, there was a guard standing next to it. He opened the door and said, "Princess Ginevra." Ginny hated her name. She loved to be called Ginny not Ginevra but that was the name her mother give her when she was born.
Ginny saw her mother sitting on the sofa and father sitting at the desk writing something before handing it off to the carrier that was standing next to him. Her mother red hair was going white and her warm brown eyes had wrinkles around them. Her father was blading with red hair and had blue eyes. They were in their sitting room. There was a door behind the sofa that led to the bedroom. Her mother smiled when she saw Ginny. Queen Molly knew how her daughter hated her name. "Ginny take a seat, please." Molly pointed to the chair that was next to her. Ginny took her seat as the carrier left. King Arthur came and took a seat next to his wife. They looked at their youngest and only daughter.
"Ginny, we have found you a husband," The king said. Ginny looked around the room to see if it was only her and her parents in here.
"You told me I could choose my own husband," Ginny always told to speak her mind.
Her parents traded a look before the queen spoke. "I know but there are dark times that are a head of us and we need to align ourselves with powerful kingdoms."
"Is there a way that you can do that without marrying me off?" Ginny asked. Her father shook his head.
"There is no way. We know that you would have our best interests at heart." Ginny nodded. She understood what her father was saying. With Voldemort very close to their borders they needed powerful allies.
"Who is it?" Ginny hoped it wasn't someone who was mean or someone who didn't understand woman.
"Prince Harry James Potter of Darearum," Her mother smiled. The kingdom of Darearum was a great kingdom and their queen was very outspoken. Ginny remembered wanting to be like her when she was little.
Now the queen's son was another story. She met him once when she was eleven and he was twelve. He saved her from a horse that was a little out of her control. The rest of the time she was there she stayed out of his way. She remembers a messy black haired boy with green eyes. He was short and thin the boy that Ginny remembered. How much could he have changed in the seven years?
"You have a week before you have to go. Your brother, Ron will go with you. You can bring two others with you." The queen said. Ginny nodded. She couldn't say anything because there was nothing wrong with the Potter family. The only thing was that they had a habit of having only one son. "We are done," Ginny got up and went to absorb it all in.
She walked around the castle until she came to the garden. The flowers were in bloom and the smells got to Ginny. This would probably be the last time she saw this. She was moving to another country to be married to Prince Harry. Ginny hoped that he had gain weight and became slow that the only thing he wanted from her was one son. That he would let her do anything she wanted. She would help rule a country and hope to be like her mother-in-law.
She was glad that her brother Ron was coming because he was the closest to her. She would probably bring Luna and Tonks. They were very good friends of her. They knew the real her not Princess of the Castle. She should go and write a letter to Luna to tell her she needs to come to the city so she could leave with Ginny at the weeks end. She was about to get up when her brother came running up.
"Ginny, I just heard." He took her in a hug. "I'm sorry." Ginny looked up at Ron's blue eyes. He had the Weasley red hair.
"It's okay. The Potters are a good family." Ron nodded. He give her his loopy smile.
"I'll be going with you." Ron said. "And you can bring Luna and Tonks with you." Ginny nodded.
"Yeah," Ginny let go of her brother. "I have to go and tell Luna to get her butt here." Ron laughed. "Are you staying for dinner?" Ron frowned.
"I can't. I have something to do at the base." Ginny nodded. She hated that she didn't see her brother as much as she use to when he lived at the castle. Ron hugged her one more time before he had to leave. Ginny went to write a letter to Luna before she went to find Tonks.
Tonks was in her rooms, reading a book. "Tonks," Ginny said to get her attention. Tonks looked up at Ginny waiting for her to say something. "How would you like to go to Darearum?" Tonks jumped off her bed.
"I would love to. When are we leaving?" Tonks got out a trunk, went to her wardrobe, and started throwing her clothes in there.
Ginny laughed. "At the end of the week. Why would you like to go there?" There was sparkle in Ginny's eyes. A blush came to Tonks' face. Ginny smiled. "Is there a guy there that you like?"
"Maybe," Tonks let out as a whisper. Ginny ran into Tonks' arms, screaming.
"That is great, Tonks." Ginny laughed. "Who is the lucky guy?" Ginny had to ask getting out of Tonks arms.
"Lord Remus Lupin," Tonks said. Ginny thought she heard that name before.
"Was he here a few times?" Ginny asked. Tonks nodded.
"Yes, he is an advisor to King James," Ginny smiled.
"That is great. We'll have to get you together when we get there." Tonks sighed.
"He doesn't want anything to do with me," Ginny put her arm around her.
"Then we'll make him want you," Tonks nodded.
"Why are we going to Darearum?" Tonks led Ginny to the sofa and sat them down.
Ginny frowned. "I getting married to the prince."
"I thought your parents told you that you could choose your husband." Tonks stated. Ginny nodded.
"Dark times are a head of us and we need to align with them." Ginny told her friend.
"You never know you could fall in love with him." Tonks tried to find the bright spot in all this.
"I met him one time when we were younger and he saved me. I just hope he is fat and that all he wants from me is a son." Ginny said.
Tonks shook her head. "One you were made to have more than one child and the queens in that country rule besides their husbands." Ginny nodded, she did want more than one child. She wanted a big family like her family. She knew Tonks was right. Ginny decide to change the subject.
On the last night before Ginny was leaving her mother came to see her. Molly knocked on her daughter's door and it was opened by Luna. Luna smiled at the queen before leaving mother and daughter. Ginny was sitting at her desk looking at the night sky. Molly took a seat on one of the sofas in the room.
"Ginny, can you come and sit by me," Molly asked her daughter. Ginny got up and went to sit next to her mother. Molly ran her hand over Ginny's red hair. "I know you are scared but you have a few months to get to know him before the wedding. Try to like him. We'll be there at the wedding." Molly hugged her daughter.
"Mother, I know I'm scared but I'm nervous he won't like me." Ginny told her concerns to her mother.
Molly smiled. "I know how you feel. I felt the same way when I was told that I was to marry your father." Molly was going to say more when Ginny interrupted her.
"You and Father had an arranged marriage. I thought it was a love match." Molly laughed and nodded.
"I love your father but I didn't fall in love with him until I got to know the real Arthur not Prince Arthur, which was after we were married and I was pregnant with Bill. I didn't have a month before the wedding, I was just told that I was getting married. I hope that you get a change to know Harry not Prince Harry and maybe fall in love with him." Ginny hugged her mother.
"Thank you, Mother." Molly kissed the top of Ginny's head.
The next day, Ginny got in a carriage with Luna and Tonks with Ron leading the guards and heading for Godric's Hollow the capital of Darearum.
Prince Harry James Potter just came back from riding when his captain of his guards Lord Neville Longbottom came over to him. He was a blond man with warm brown eyes. Harry smiled at him, he was one if his best friends. Harry slapped him on the back. "What's going on, Neville?"
Neville moved away from him. "Your parents would like to see you." Harry went to slap him on the back again but Neville moved out of the way. Harry smiled before going to the throne room where he would find his parents.
In throne room was only his parents and his father's advisors Sirius Black, Duke of Grimmauld and Lord Remus Lupin. They had their heads together, talking about something. His mother caught him as soon as he entered the room. Her red hair had a few white hairs in there but her green eyes could still read you like a book. Harry looked like a younger version of his father but he had his mother's eyes and his father had hazel eyes.
Sirius had black hair that was graying at the temple with grey eyes. Sirius had a young son who was at their country home. Remus hair was gray with a few brown hairs thrown in. You could never tell the color of his eyes. Remus was as single as he could be. They were King James' best friends and help him with many things.
Lily saw her son first and nudged her husband to let him know. They saw how happy and free their son was but they both knew there was something more to him. He was going to make a great king when his time comes. They hope that Princess Ginevra would help rule by his side. Harry smiled at his parents and friends. "You wanted to see me Mother and Father."
"Sirius, Remus can you leave us," King James told his best friends. Sirius threw a smile towards Harry before Remus grabbed his arm.
James and Lily waited until the door was closed before turning to their son. Harry give his parents a big smile, like he was in trouble again for something he did. "You're not in trouble or is there something you aren't telling us," Queen Lily said.
"No, Mother." Harry gave a smile like he there was nothing wrong. James smiled, he knew his son too well because that was him before Lily came into his life and changed it.
Lily sighed. "Harry we have some news for you."
"What? I'm getting a new horse for racing." Harry smiled.
"No, son." James told his son.
"Harry, you are getting married." Lily said. The smile on Harry's face was gone. He didn't think that he would have to marry so soon. He was only nineteen but he knew something was coming because of the war that was going to happen soon with all the countries on this island. They needed as many people with them as they could.
Harry sighed. "Who is the girl?"
"Princess Ginevra Weasley of Slaweye." His father said.
Harry ran his hand through his messy black hair. "When?"
"In a three month time. She will be here in a few days. You have three month to get to know her." Queen Lily said. Harry nodded he needed to think so he asked.
"Can I leave?" Lily nodded. Harry walked out of the throne room at a quick pace. When he got away from the public places he ran to the royal library. He needed to talk to his best friend, Lady Hermione Granger.
Harry found her in her usually place, a table in the back of the library with books all round her. Harry took a seat on the chair that was across from her. She looked up from the book she was reading and gave Harry a look. Harry smiled at her. "Hey, Hermione what are you doing?"
"I was trying to read but then you came and sat down next to me." Hermione gave him a 'You're bothering me' look.
"I have a good reason for bothering you," Harry smiled. "I'm getting married in a three months." Hermione put her book down and stared at her best friend.
"What? To who?" Hermione asked.
"Yeah, dark times are a head of us and we need all the people we can get. Princess Ginevra Weasley of Slaweye." Harry told his friend.
"I've heard of her but I never met her." Hermione said but she caught the blush on Harry's cheeks. "Wait do you know her." Harry nodded.
"I met her when we were younger." Harry thought that would satisfice Hermione but it didn't.
"What happen?"
"I was twelve at the time and she was visiting with her brother, Prince William."
Ginny saw the horse that everyone was talking about how no one could ride it. He was a midnight black stallion and in Ginny's eyes he was beautiful. She went out when no one was looking and brought out two apples and a bag of sugar cubes. He was in the last stall in the stables.
She stood before the door with the horse back side to her. Ginny whistled, and the horse turned his head to her before turning his head back. Ginny took out an apple and held it out over the stall to him. The horse turned his head and smelled the apple. He came around and sniffed the apple before taking it out of Ginny's hand. With her hand empty she reached out and touched his nose. She opened the door and went in, she saw the saddle and bridle in the back. She gave him a cube of sugar before putting the blue saddle blanket on him. Ginny gave him another sugar cube before getting the saddle on him. She gave him the last apple before putting the bridle on him. She led him out of the stables to the mounting box. Ginny in her brother's old breeches, put a leg over the horse's back before settling on the horse's back, she picked up the reigns, then…
The horse was off.
Harry was in a riding lesson when he saw Midnight racing by with someone on him. Harry shook his head then he heard the screams. He turned his horse to the noise and raced after them. He caught up with them. He saw it was the girl that had come with her brother to visit. She was scared. He could tell by the look on her face.
"Princess," Harry yelled. She looked over at him. "I'm going to pull you over to my horse." All she did was nod. He stirred his horse with his legs as he reached up and pulled the girl over to his horse. She wrapped her arms around him. Midnight ran off. Harry was going to have to send someone after him. Harry moved Ginny, so she was sitting behind him. He slowed down his horse and took her back to the palace.
He helped her off the horse. "When they say a horse is un-ride-able they mean it." He smiled at her before he ran off. He didn't notice the glare that Ginny was sending him.
"So that what happen," Harry finished telling Hermione.
Hermione threw him a look. "You were an arrogant bastard back then." Harry smiled.
"Yes I was." Hermione hit him on the arm with the book she was holding.
"Ouch," Harry rubbed his arm. "That hurt."
"It was meant too."
Harry narrowed his eyes at her. "You're mean." Hermione smiled. Harry rolled his eyes and changed the subject. "She probably a spoiled little brat."
"How would you know?" Hermione asked.
"I just do," Hermione rolled her eyes at him before going back to her book. Harry knew that they were done so he left to go tell his woes to Hedwig his horse. She would listen.
Harry was standing in-between his parents waiting for Princess Ginevra to come. She was to be here in a few minutes. She probably was wearing an expensive dress that cost more than a poor man wages. He couldn't say much, he was in his military dress and he hated that. He told his mother many times but she kept making him wear it.
The door and the herald announced, "Princess Ginevra Weasley of Slaweye accompanied by her brother Prince Ronald Weasley, Miss Luna Lovegood, and Madam Nymphadora Tonks."
A young redhead girl walks in first, she has confidence radiating off of her. Harry smiled, she knew who she was. She was wearing a blue dress that wasn't showy or anything. She looked like she was doing this for her people. Her brother was dress in his military clothes, he had red hair like his sister. The blond was looking around the room absently. The other woman was older than the others, it look like was looking for someone.
Harry stepped forward to get a better look at the princess. When she stop right in front of them. He saw that she had a pair of warm brown eyes. She had freckles across her little nose. She was beautiful and Harry didn't look down. Harry grabbed her hand that she had held out. He kissed it while looking her in the eyes.
Ginny couldn't help but see Harry's beautiful green eyes. They were wasted on him. He wasn't the fat prince she saw in her head. He was lean and tall. His messy black hair worked for him. It only made him more attractive. When he kissed her hand, she felt the shock of it. He smiled at her.
"Princess Ginevra," His voice was deeper and Ginny felt it in her toes. She could tell already he was going to be a problem for her.
Harry saw a fire that came to her eyes when he said her name but it was gone right away. He knew that she didn't like her name. He smiled at that.
"Prince Harry," Ginny said. Harry liked the sound of her voice. They were in their own little world until the queen said something.
"We're going to have a dinner and a ball at the end of the week. We'll have someone show you to your rooms." Harry and Ginny looked up at the queen, who smiled at them. Ginny nodded and at her friends and brother to see them standing there waiting.
