His little star
It is too late now. He passed the golden opportunity to tell her, how much he loves her. He regrets that he didn´t let her know. He wishes he could turn back the time, because he just wants to see her again, he wants to hold her tight and show her his feelings. But now it is too late. Mac Taylor lost the second woman he loved with all his heart. Was it fair? Life wasn´t fair! But Stella has always seen it differently. Mac wallows in memories.
Stella accepted her life the way it was and tried to make the best out of it. She lived every day as if there was no tomorrow. Many people were envious of this wonderful gift. I know it, I was one of them. She did her work with passion, but never forgot her private life or her friends along the way. She appeared to be happy, always. I only saw her cry once. Sometimes she was frustrated but she had good reasons. Either, there was a criminal, who, in her opinion, was guilty, but his guilt couldn´t be proved, or, she had to arrest one, who seemed to be innocent. She always worked with her heart and soul.
She was a good friend to everyone; always a trusty guide and she respected her friends and colleagues. She adored children and cases, which involved them, were those, which she solved fastest. Not, because she didn´t want to deal with them, but, because she worked with all she´d got to get justice.
I can exactly remember her smile and how her eyes sparkle like stars. Her laughter was so contagious. She was gifted with the amazing talent to cheer somebody up just with her smile. She was always there when somebody needed her. In fact, she was always at my side when I needed her and that meant so much to me. She had strength in her, which let the strongest men look weak. This strength was her trademark, which helped her through it all.
Even if I know, that the last moments in her life where the most painful ones, I´m sure she lived them for a reason: She wanted to say goodbye to everybody. If not in person, then with this:
Mac reads the letter again
She was sure that I´ll find it someday.
Although I´m not here anymore, I ask you, not to give up on life. Remember the moments when we were together, not those, when you were alone. We will meet again, Mac, I promise. I wish you a fulfilled life with somebody wonderful at your side to love. It would have been great to know how that feels…
Don´t be down in the mouth! And never let somebody tell you, you shouldn´t wear any ties, that´s my job!
Love, Stella
Mac smiles at the last sentence. But he didn´t finish the letter, therefore he missed the most important sentence:
I will always love you, Mac… I´ll wait for you!
