The Life and Times of Findley Weasley

Note: To read this you must have read the Harry Potter books and Jewel5's The Life and Times (if you haven't, stop what you're doing immediately and go read it. NOW)

In this rendering of The life and Times (it's not really a rendering but it's mostly inspired by the fic) Remus Lupin is not the only werewolf at Hogwarts and there are 5 marauders, not 4.

Be prepared for some crap writing.

Chapter one

Now in all honesty, it would be impossible to determine Hogwarts' single best kept secret. To determine this, one would need to consider a plethora of secret people, places, passageways and kitchens. But two individuals were very strong contenders for the title; Remus J. Lupin and Findley Weasley. They first met in Professor Dumbledore's office on the second day of September 1972, when Remus was set to begin his second year at Hogwarts and Findley her first. Within minutes of meeting, they developed a charming bond, that of brother and sister, made siblings by the man who had turned them both.

Remus got to know her well, but not very. No one ever did. She was extremely shy and modest, never showing her bare legs and never speaking above the required amount of decibels. But these were all things you and I could detect upon first glance. Remus knew more than that. He knew the reason her eyes were rimmed with dark blue bruises that morning as she sat down for lunch. The night before had always been quite awful but then again it was for most of his kind. However, their reactions to the approaching moon paled in comparison to what Findley underwent. She had undoubtedly spent the night shaking violently in her hospital bed, vomiting and crying all throughout the night until the sun came up. None of her pain eased by the potions and charms Madam Pomfrey could offer for her body would have simply rejected them, causing her more pain and discomfort - if that were possible.

And so it went for the majority of her first year, until all of a sudden Remus wasn't the only one who knew where she really went when the teachers said she had gone to the hospital for her monthly muggle treatment. Remus wasn't the only one who knew just how bad things were, just how dangerous it was that her body rejected all forms of magical healing. All of a sudden, they were not alone with only each other to call friends. All of a sudden they had friends. Friends that would become family.
