A/N This post was one of my more popular posts on Tumblr, so why not continue it?
"Guys, don't go outside this afternoon." Danny informed his friends while lounging across is bed. The trio were currently lounging about in Danny's bedroom not really doing anything for once.
"Why not." Sam asked annoyed."Yeah, it's the Solar Eclipse it hasn't hit Amity in several years." Tucker said while playing on his PDA. "Don't you want to see it with us?"
"Yes and no." Danny sat up. He looked outside wistfully then sighed. "It's a sight I don't want anyone to see, not even me."
Both of his friends paused what they were doing and looked to their friend.
"Let me get this straight. YOU, the kid who wants to be an astronaut, don't want to see the Solar Eclipse." Sam raised an eyebrow.
"Yes." Danny turned to face his friends.
"Really? Danny you're fourteen. Grow up." Sam stood up and crossed her arms.
Danny didn't make an motion to combat her. Sam started to feel a little guilty. "What's really bothering you?"
"I'm fine." Danny replied. Sam barely heard the "For now" whispered underneath his breath.
"Alright, Tucker and I will head home early so we're not outside during the eclipse. Happy?"
"Danny nodded and smiled. "Thanks guys."
"You're welcome ." Sam pulled her reluctant techno geek friend out of the room and into the hall.
"You have no intention of staying inside do you?"
"Nope."

Sam and Tucker stood bored out on the Manson family patio.
"I have no idea what Danny is afraid of, this is actually kind of boring." Tucker said while fidgeting with his sunglasses. "Do you know when we can take these things off?"
"Right now." Sam said as the world went dark. "See, nothing to be terrified about."
Then they heard it. The laughing of many wicked souls flying through the air. It wasn't the regular laughing of villains who wanted to take over the world. Instead it was the demonic laughter of the damned.
"Danny's got his work cut out for him doesn't he?" Tucker laughed nervously.
Sam could only watch as one ghost left the group flying to land in front of them. They could barely make out the ghost as female. Clumps of hair were missing and any remaining was singed. Her skin was black with burns, and her clothes met the same fate.
"Well, if it isn't dipstick's friends. Decide to ignore his warning?" She laughed.
"Ember?" Tucker squeaked.
All the ghost did was smile and nod. She looked up to the sky and motioned for another to come down.
"This ghost looked so much worse than ember did. His left side of his face was melting. His skin was bubbling, and had holes in several places.
"Didn't listen?" The new ghost asked.
"Nope. Shall we attract Ghost Boy's attention?" Ember replied, a wicked smile on her face. Both ghosts prepared their attacks.
"Hey, leave them alone!"
Tucker was smart enough to look away. Sam? She couldn't. As soon as she heard her friend's voice she looked for him. Then she screamed.
Instead of the the lovable dependable Danny Phantom, Sam gazed at the ghost who would haunt her nightmares for many years to come. Skin burned so bad nearly all of it was black slowly peeling off his body, no eyes in the eye sockets just gaping holes and a once white jumpsuit sticking to his frame, it was only by his symbol that Sam recognized her friend
She couldn't think clearly, she could barely move, so Sam did what she thought she'd never do; She screamed.
Danny looked hurt, but sunk to the ground to attempt to comfort his friend. "Sam its still me.
Ember looked at the poor ghost and laughed. "Didn't you tell them that when the sun hides, our deaths are shown?"
