Sonya let out a yawn as she stumbled back into the hotel suite where she was staying with Alex over the course of her friends speeches.

"Alex? You here?" She called as she put down her computer bag. She had been double checking the hotel security and had only just gotten back. "Alex?" She called again. She turned the corner only to see Alex on the floor, various empty bottles of tiny liquor spread around her.

"Hey Sonny-a." She slurred. "How are you?" She spoke.

"Alex what are you doing? You don't drink." She sigh and made her way over to her.

"I'm allowed to drink." She reminded. "I'm finally 21. I can drink as much as I want."

"Alex that's not the point." Sonya sighed as she sat next to her. "What's this really about?"

"Why did he have to die?" Alex spoke in a barely audible tone. "Out of everybody why him?" She murmured.

Sonya frowned deeply. "I don't know." She spoke honestly. "It's okay to miss him."

"I never told him." She spoke gently. "He died and he didn't know that I loved him."

"He knew Alex." Sonya promised and pulled her into a hug.

"I just want to stop hurting. I had that with Sean and I don't know if I'll ever have it again." She continued.

"You will. I promise you will. I know it's hard but things will get better. But it won't happen over night; you have to give yourself time." Sonya said softly.

"You're a good friend Sonya." Alex mumbled as she shifted her head from her shoulder to look up at her.

Sonya smiled gently. "So are you."

What Alex did next she didn't really think through. She straightened herself out, sitting face to face with Sonya before pressing her lips to hers in a gentle kiss, her hand resting on Sonya's neck.

Sonya's eyes widened at the action, her breath momentarily caught in her throat as she dried to determine in on earth was happening.

However, despite her better judgement she soon replied to the kiss, her hands going to rest on Alex's shoulder.

Alex smiled against her lips, deepening their kiss as she held her close.

Sonya was the first to pull back, resting her forehead against Alex's. "Alex-" she froze, not knowing what else to say.

"Sorry." She mumbled

"No need to be sorry." Sonya assured.

Alex smiled gently before her eyes flashed open and her skin grew pale.

"Alex what's wrong?" Sonya asked, concern coating her accent laced voice.

"I hope you don't take what I'm about to do as a comment on what we just did." Alex rushed out before sprinting to the bathroom and throwing up into the toilet.

Sonya grimaced at the sound but made her way into the bathroom, holding back Alex's hair for her as she emptied the copious amounts of alcohol from her stomach.

Sonya was eventually able to get Alex back into bed, the younger woman refusing to let go of her friend. Sonya eventually caved and lay next to Alex. The two of them curled together, both of them thinking about, but neither of them mentioning the kiss they had shared.
