I recently bought a book called It's kind of a Funny Story, and I flipped through it and found a part where the two teens were playing a game. This 1-shot came into my head while reading that. And now another adventure with our two favorite emo kids, Nico and Sirena!

I own nothing, but I really wish I did.

Playing the Question Game

Sunday Morning, 5am. Nico was already throwing rocks into the nearby lake. As the morning light began to shine, he heard a girl's voice from behind him.

"You know it's a lot more fun to sneak out early with someone." It was Sirena Maine, the only known Daughter of Poseidon.

She sat next to him and smiled. "We're gonna play a game, okay?"

Nico looked at her with a look of confusion. "Okay?"

"I ask you a question and you're going to answer me with a question. First person to make a statement must kiss the first person they see tomorrow morning."

"Okay."

"Starting now." Sirena and Nico silently tried to program their minds and mouths to only speak in the form of a question. "Do you think I'm funny looking?"

Nico was kind of shocked she would ask him that, him of all people. "Why would you ask that?"

"Why would I not ask that?" She shot back without hesitation.

"Does my option even matter to you?"

The blue-haired girl had a slide smile across her face. "How do you know it doesn't?"

"How do you even know I'd say "no"?"

"How do I know you'd even answer me if Percy was here with us?"

"Do you really think I'd care if your brother was standing here to hear me answer "no"?"

She raised her eyebrows with shock as he cursed under his breath. Crap, crap, crap! Nico thought.

"So you don't think I'm funny looking?"

"How do you know I'm telling the truth?

"How do I know you blushed when I kissed you Tuesday night?"

"Would you believe me if I said I didn't?" Nico knew all too well that if you played back Tuesday night, anyone could see that his face was completely scarlet.

"Do you think I'd believe that?"

"Would you believe no?"

"Do you think that's the right answer?"

"Would you just answer me already?"

"No! That not- Wait! No I take that back!"

Nico grinned. "No you made a statement not a question. You now have to make out with the first guy you see tomorrow morning."

Sirena sighed. "Any conditions to this little scene I must put on?"

"It must last for 30 seconds and not just be a closet. 'Gotta be public."

"Okay."

Tomorrow Morning

Sirena woke up the next morning and kept her eyes on a ground. The last thing she wanted was to end up kissing her half-brother; the very thought made her want to vomit and gag several times. As she made her way to the mess hall, she silently prayed to Aphrodite that this would be painless, and Aphrodite, who was completely bored now that Percy and Annabeth were dating, decided to have a little fun.

Sirena run to the mess hall and then BAM! BOOM! SMASH! She looked up and saw that she'd crashed into Nico di Angelo. "Aw shit. Well, I bet's a bet."

The Daughter of Poseidon grabbed Nico and kissed him full on the mouth in front of everyone. When she finally pulled away, Nico looked completely flabbergasted yet almost content. Sirena got herself up and walked to breakfast, leaving everyone there in shock. Her hair even seemed to have gone to a brighter shade.

"Hey," she began as people's look starting coming her way. "It's not like I planned it this way."

I don't really think this is my best work, but I've been thinking about this idea for days. If you've never seen or read it's kind of a Funny Story I highly recommend it, and if you ever get the chance, read Flowers for Algernon too. (Warning: It is really sad at the end!) Review please! Review! And read the story that goes along with this called "Just the Way you Are" please!
