Chase has a problem.

One that stands out among the rest. This one, a conflict of interest, if you will, makes the rest of them pale in comparison.

I know what you're thinking. He's a masochist, a people pleaser, an ass-kisser, yes, but none of those matter.

Not by themselves, anyway.

This particular problem of his not only outweighs them, it bleeds the colors from them, making it all the more vivid and vibrant and problematic.

Chase has a hero complex.

He wants to save everyone, bonus points if he gets hurt in the process.

And now, for his next mission, Chase is to save the unsavable.

Namely, House.

But House is a masochist too, a glutton for punishment from the most plentiful source-himself.

He's a fan of ripping himself apart from the inside and piecing himself back together, the way only he knows how. Chase knows, because Chase does it too.

Chase can't save House because he doesn't want to be saved.

But Chase is like a druggie searching for his next fix….

And he knows he'll enjoy failing more than succeeding.

House is my new obsession and I couldn't be prouder to say it. I'm just starting season 4, but I can't stay away from the fanfiction. (Which is why I know a lot of things that I shouldn't yet. Darn you, fanfiction.) House/Chase is my main ship, obviously. Not my best work, but I still enjoyed writing it. Still though, this is what I get for listening to No Role Modelz (by ) on repeat. Well, what are you waiting for? Lemme know your thoughts!
