One of these days I'll get around to posting my odd Hirota fics I wrote this because of the lack of adoration for Hirokazu and Kenta out there. This happens to be a second part of my previous fanfic "Appreciated". It's placed back before they receive their digimon, again. I haven't watched Tamers in a while so I hope it isn't too rusty on charactership. Enjoy.
Exchange of Tangibilty

Hirokazu? Yea, he's alright. I think I'd like him a lot better if he'd quit jabbing me. Like this endless walk wasn't agonizing enough. Just 'cause I'm a push over… Well I guess for Kazu he can't resist. In a minute he'll try to create conversation again. I actually wouldn't mind. Firstly, because it'll put an end to his poking me for no reason. Second, well because the silence of everyone else is boring me out.
"Which digimon do you think we're gonna run into next, Kenta? A Monochromon or a Hyogamon?"
"I don't think I want to meet either right now," I reply, "Especially since we don't have our own digimon to battle with."
"That is the whole point of bumping into these things, Kenta!" Kazu exasperates. I look at him sort of surprised. Was he nuts? We weren't just going to capture a Digimon for ourselves. Which is what I point out.
"You are such a NERD," he shouts back. He starts rotating his fist into the side of my head in a noogy, putting me once again at the hand of his abuse. He never picked on the others. Well, sometimes Takato. He had a thing with feeling superior, even if I was the one helping with his homework.
But you know, Kazu was cool. Maybe not to the other Tamers, but I knew Hirokazu better than any of them. He was chill and relaxed all the time. It felt like he was someone I could depend on, even if he was the most unreliable person in the world. He made me laugh. Made them laugh. He was there to see us smile. I'd die without that bit of earnesty. Which is probably why he's my best friend.
"C'mon," He cajoules, "Monochromon or Hyogamon?"
"How about Devidramon?" I regretted it as soon as I said it. My friend had a sort of gleam in his eye. There were times when I could tell Kazu was bored, when I knew he was going to start an argument for the sake of an argument. Yet I always fell for it.
"Dude, if we run into him, he's mine!"
"No way! I claimed him first!" I protest. Kazu could be unreasonable, stubborn, and juvenile. And he could influence me into acting the exact same way. I never had to fight with any one else. Everyone else had a sort of fairness to them. Him?
"Woah, slow down there, junior. How about we stick to Digimon I can handle?" The spiked brunette Tamer mocked me. Oh, if he thought I was backing down, he was so wrong.
He could get my blood to rise.
Provoke me into a full chorus of swears.
And I'd never felt so alive. Nor felt so connected to someone.
Our banter went on for a little while. Eventually he gave in.
"Alright, alright. We'll both end up with kickass Digimon. Cause hey, guys like us deserve it," he laughs.
"Fine, you restrain it and I'll latch a leash to its collar," I respond sarcastically, but crack a smile anyway. I couldn't ask Kazu to be any other way. I wouldn't want him to be smarter, or down to earth… If he changed just a little, I would know. Sensibility? I've got enough of that for both of us. In fact, he's the only one who can tear me a way from it.
And that's all I could ask.
