New Character:

Kevin Elliston, 16

Kohaku Toyota, 14

Cunningham, England; population 5400. A town famous for nothing but being dull. That was exactly why Kevin Elliston was so shocked that he had found something so wonderful here.

He couldn't get over the smooth feeling of Kohaku's lips, the softness of her skin. She was so sweet she could have dated anyone she wanted at Fellowes Secondary School, but she had chosen Kevin, just like he had chosen her. Light streamed through the windows on Kohaku's bedroom walls, irradiating the room and perfecting the moment.

Savoring his girlfriend's kiss as they sat up on the bed, Kevin began to look around her room. He wanted to remember everything about this moment. Her walls were white, but flanked with posters of her favorite Japanese pop stars, and most pieces of furniture were black and gleaming, with the rustic look as if they had come from an antique shop. A golden trumpet leaned against her dresser, it's case laying a few feet away next to stacks of Bleach and Detective Conan comics.

He smiled at Kohaku, and she smiled back. Her beauty struck him everytime he saw her, but she seemed even more beautiful today. She wore a beige oversized shirt paired with faded grey jeans, looking very British in dress. She was anything but the average local, though. She had arrived in Cunningham eight months ago straight off the streets of Tokyo, and had had a lot of trouble fitting in at her new secondary school with her foreign background. She had turned out okay though; she had made a close group of friends and found herself a pretty decent boyfriend - at least that's what Kevin liked to think.

Wrapping his arm around his girlfriend, Kevin murmured, "What did I do to deserve that?"

"It's because you love me, Kevin. At school, you never judged me like everyone else, you got to know me. And you truly know what is in my heart," Kohaku said wisely.

"You know I could say the same things about you," Kevin whispered. "I honestly thought I'd never find anyone until I saw your face."

They began kissing again, and once again Kevin became lost in the moment. That's why he couldn't tell if two or five minutes had passed when they heard a far away whooshing noise like the opening of a door, and then, seconds later, someone shouted, "Kohaku!"

Kohaku broke away from Kevin, her face full of fear. "Kevin, my father's home. I told him I would be at band practice
