Renji bolted up in the bed and stared wildly around him. His breating was uneaven and ragged and ha glanced to the side, searched for hands and gripped a shirt when his hands touched fabric. "Kenya, are you awake?" Kenya blinked tiredly and lifted a hand to cup Renji's cheek. Renji stopped himself from pulling away. Instead, he reached up with one hand to grip Kenya's hand, clutching to Kenya's t-shirt with his other.
"Ren?" Kenya tilted his head to the side, and when he saw the other mans eyes fill with tears, he sat up, wrapping his arms around the brownhaired man's body. "What's wrong? Nightmare?"
Renji shook his head and leaned against Kenya's shoulder. "Don't know... Don't remember.." He shook his head again, to will away the images in his head, and Kenya pulled him into his lap and rocked him back and forth. "It's okay, you don't have to."
"Kenya?" Renji mumbled, wrapping his arms around Kenya. He took a deep breath and rubbed his face against Kenya's shoulder. "Don't get hurt or do something too stupid."
"When do I ever do something stupid, Ren?" Kenya grinned and Renji frowned. Kenya kissed him. "Right, righet, I'll do my best, love."
"You better." Renji muttered as he kissed back.
Kenya grinned even wider.
End.
