His vision was blurry, and at times it seemed like he could see more if he closed his eyes. Colonnello was laying down on the bed, trying to keep himself from getting more sick.
He flinched at the sudden cold touch on his cheek, squinting hard up at the figure who leaned over him. After a few seconds, he was able to make out the face of the person in front of him.
"Kyoko." His voice was in a tone of shock and confusion. He didn't have much time to dwell on thoughts of her before he began coughing violently.
"You need to rest, Colonello-kun." She responded. Although her tone was soft and caring, it also showed that this wasn't something that was negotiable. It was an order.
If he had been in the the right state of mind, he would've teased her about it, but doing anything but going to sleep sounded like a punishment he'd rather avoid. Closing his eyes, he fell asleep to the sound of Kyoko humming a soft, soothing melody to him.
He wasn't sure how long he slept, but the Rain Arcobaleno was sure it was more than ten hours seeing how his body ached as he struggled to sit up, not wanting to leave the position it had been laying in comfortably for hours.
"You're awake!" Kyoko said happily, looking up from a book that she held in her hands. Her face seemed to glow with happiness and relief. Colonnello wouldn't say it out loud, but it both shocked and pleased him that someone cared so much for him.
"Kora...yeah, I'm awake." He replied, running a hand through his messy blonde hair. "How long was I out for?"
"Two days." The younger Sasagawa replied. "Your fever went down and you stopped coughing after the first day, but I figured you needed to rest more so I let you sleep in a bit."
She moved closer to him with slight hesitation, almost as though she was afraid she'd somehow hurt him. Her long, ginger locks fell over her shoulder, brushing against his skin slightly as her hand press against his forehead.
"It seems you're finally back to normal." It sounded like she was talking more to herself than anyone else. Candy colored hues shifted their gaze down to meet his, a smile lighting up her face as they did.
"I'm glad you're okay, Colonnello-kun."
He did nothing but stared back at her, reminiscing in the days he was still under the curse, and her care.
"Are you hungry?" Kyoko asked, moving back from him. "I can make you something if you want!"
"Sure..anything's fine really." He said, too busy thinking of the past events. As she opened the door to leave, he called out to her.
"Kyoko." The blond waited one moment as the ginger looked over his shoulder at her.
"Thank you."
Another smile brighten up her features. "It's no trouble at all, Colonnello-kun!" She said, walking back towards him.
"After all..." Leaning down, she pressed her lips against his cheek, kissing it softly.
"You're someone very important to me."
And with that, she nearly ran out of the room, leaving the Rain Arcobaleno in a state of shock, wondering if this was just some realistic hallucination, and he really was still sick. The warm spot on his cheek from where she kissed him led him to believe otherwise, though. Placing a hand over it, he smiled fondly, laying back down.
Author's Note: A prompt challenge my friend sent me and it was between our character ( I roleplay Kyoko and he RP's Colonnello). This was originally suppose to be from Kyoko's point of view but I ended writing it in Colonnello's. I didn't know where to go from here so I just ended it.
I wrote it in about half an hour, since I was distracted. Give another fifteen or thirty minutes or so.
Yeah so just a quick, short drabble.
