Sleep does not come easily for the Son of Hades. As a younger child, the dark and shadows never did scare him, which Bianca had always thought was odd. It didn't stop Nico from pretending from time, to time; whenever he was feeling alone.

And now, lying there in the pitch black- in a room of nothingness, Nico wanted nothing more than his sister with him. Or at least a company.

How long had it been, since she died? 4 Years. 4 Years where Nico had to grow up on his own; to develop his powers on his own, to deal with being unaccepted in camp. On his own.

Percy had been there for him. Even though Nico had blamed Bianca's death on him and continued to resent him, Percy had still accepted Nico.

In a way, Percy was a father figure to Nico like Hades was. But from admiration came minor envy. Nico was a Big Three demigod too, with the power and the father. So how comes Percy got all the attention? How comes Percy was not feared by the other demigods? There is no place for the Children of Hades at Camp Half-Blood.

Nico missed Bianca. So, so much. He had long since given up on summoning her ghost, for she would never stay for long, and Hades would always tell him not to.

He tried not to rely on his sister much. Nico was an independent, 13 year old boy. But from time to time, he felt himself slipping. Other than occasional nightmares that left him waking in cold sweat, Nico would have dreams where he would miraculously bring Bianca back to life. She would be smiling and happy again, even if she was with the Hunters. After these dreams, said boy would take shuddering breaths and cry. He thought he had burned these hope s along with his playing cards.
