"State Secrets"

She was coming apart at the seams. She absolutely was flying apart. Every single micron in her body was flying in an opposite direction to its brethren and she was pulling with them. Energy surged through her in waves and she rode them, gasping for air, trying to remember how to breathe.

Her hands flailed for purchase, slipping on the slick surface, and she arched upward. A wordless cry issued from her throat only to be stolen away with her breath. Her head tossed, sweaty, tangled curls bouncing with the movement, and her vision refused to focus. Disjointedly, she tried to think, tried to remember but she couldn't. Her rebellious body continued on toward the point of no return and dragged her along with it.

When she thought she could take no more, when the pull began too much, she shattered into a million pieces of light and was lost. Her body stolen by the sensation...

"Where," Elizabeth gasped, finding her voice, "did you learn THAT?"

Rolling to lie beside her, Rodney smirked, radiating smugness. "That, Elizabeth, would be telling."

"Precisely what I want you to do." She demanded, pulling the tangled sheet about herself to ward off the chill caused by his absence. "Spill."

His smirk widened and he skimmed a touch along her arm, nearly distracting her again. "Can't."

She lifted a brow. "I swear, Rodney, if you're going to tell me..."

"It's a state secret and they'll take away my Canadian-ness if I reveal it to any American. Totally boot me out. Even if it's you." He looked unrepentant, his hand wandering down beneath the sheet again. "Sorry."

Elizabeth growled in frustration. "You're insufferable."

He leaned over, kissing her, before murmuring, "Hey love me, love my patriotism."

"Isn't that your cat?" She asked absently, trying to remember what she'd been asking about in the first place. Damn the man's mouth. And fingers. And... What'd she been thinking?

"Ordinarily, of course. However, my cat is three galaxies away..."

"So's Canada." Right. That. That with the fingers and the...yeah, That's what she'd been... "Oh god." She moaned and he smirked. She knew he was smirking. She could feel it against her neck. Felt pretty good. "Nevermind."

She'd get it out of him later. Much, much later.
