Disclaimer: I don't own Les Miserable

She was just a little girl back then

Not even 5 years old

Her parents died she was an orphange

Homeless and all alone

She had a peice of bread for meal

And looked to sleep the night

It was winter bitter chill

She was filled with fright

The little girl Fantine by name

Saw a child her own age

She seemed to be lost and hungry

She said her name is Paige

"I have only this peice of bread

"To get me through the night

"Why don't we share the bread my friend

"There is no need to fight"

"Thank you," Paige said taking it

"More then words can say"

"My parents are gone," Fantine said, "I'm all alone"

"Mine said they'd return for me someday"

From that day on they were fast friends

And never left each other's side

There was little time for fun and play

They did all they could to survive

A fever one day struck Fantine

Which such a forceful blow

It felt like she would die other there

But Paige nursed her from her whoa

They relied on each other

For 3 years till they were eight

Then one day Paige's parents returned

"I'll miss you Paige," Faintine said, "You're so great"

"Momma and poppa," Paige said

"Please take my friend in too

"She's been so good and kind to me

"She really saw me through"

"What about her own parents?

"I'm sure they miss her so"

"Their soul is in heaven above

"Their body is six feet below"

Without another word

The couple took her in

And that is how you might say

Faintine's life doth begin
