The night air was a bit chilled as a group of people stood on a back street listing to a tall pale man talk animatedly as he gestured wildly with his hands. Turning to the group, the man looked at their blank expressions.
"Is that simple enough or should I dumb it down again for your simple minds to understand?"
"No, no Sherlock, I think we all get it." Sighed a blonde man.
With a huff, a man in a blue jumpsuit shouted angrily, "This is ridiculous!"
Swiftly turning, Sherlock walked up to the man. "Ridiculous? No Anderson…." Taking a deep breath he shouted, "THIS IS DEDUCTION!" As he kicked the man squarely in the chest, knocking him flat on his back a few feet from the others.
Standing in shock staring at the man on the ground they turned as one to Sherlock who stood as if nothing happened, straitening his coat and swiping invisible dust off his shoulders. Turning to everyone, he merely cocked his head to the side. "What?"
Looking to each other, they turned back to the detective. "What the hell was that?" Yelled John in exasperation.
"What was what?" He replied in confusion.
Turning to Anderson again, they watched as he struggled to get to his feet. "Oh." He said with a wave of his hand in a bored fashion. "John made me watch a silly movie called 300 last night." Looking to the man he had just kicked, "seemed like an appropriate situation to reenact a scene I felt was amusing." He continued with a small smirk. After a moment's thought, "pity there wasn't a large pit behind him."
With a swish of his coat he began to walk away calling over his shoulder for John to follow. Sighing , John looked apologetically to the others and jogged to catch up to the detectives long stride, muttering to himself to never make Sherlock watch movies again.
The next time Sherlock and John walked on to a crime scene, Anderson made sure to keep his distance from the detective and give him weary glances when he came to close.
