I know I should be working on "Memories of the Past" but I can't think on what to write for the next chapters, and this thought bubble wouldn't leave me alone.

Summary: No would expect that Ichimaru Gin was once a mortal known as Cody Martin.

Gin lies about how he died and he makes so many stories that Shinigami, Arrcancar, and Aizen, himself, believe that Gin does not know or remember.

They are all wrong.

Gin remembers everything, his life, his family, his heart, his friends, and his death.

"Martin!" Cody turns and before anyone can react Jean-Claude Benoit^ fires a gun.

He doesn't see Kirby having to shot Jean, doesn't see the Marcus and Woody eyes wide with terror and horror.

He doesn't hear Zack's and Bailey's agonized cries of "Cody!"

All he sees the blood, his blood, falling out of his chest and he only hears his heart dying and feels everything becoming darker.

He dies before anyone can reach him.

She is not Bailey Pickett, but there's something special about Rangiku Matsumoto.

Rangiku is like Bailey, Maddie, and in some way London wrapped in one beautiful person.

Perhaps that is why he toys with her.

She reminds him about them and it's a reminder that there's a part of his past that he hasn't been able to get rid of.

He follows Aizen because he hates that he recognizes people but they don't recognize him.

He follows to erase his past.

He is Ichimaru Gin and Cody Martin is nothing but a distant dream in the past.

That is why when the time comes he kill Rangiku and then he will be truly free.

He doesn't recognize his twin until the fatal moment.

When Ichigo….no Zack kills him, Cody will smile because Gin delights in the irony.
