Red like roses fills my dreams and brings me to the place you rest
Summer Rose, thus kindly I scatter.
She would rather have been anywhere but standing on that cliff, reading the inscription. Looking down at the final resting place of one she held most dear. Summer was gone, in her place once filled with warmth and sunlight stood an eternal winter.
Ruby had to lay her memory to rest.
White is cold and always yearning burdened by a royal test
Nothing she did would ever be good enough for them. She could act, sing, dance, fight, she was the smartest girl at the academy and her looks spoke for themselves.
The mirror was her only friend. Her reflection was the only one who had time for her, who thought she was good enough. They were equals. They weren't above her like her parents, or below her like everyone else in Vale, dependent on the dust she would one day provide.
Weiss would never be the girl she had to be.

She had a mission, she was going to save the world. She was going to be a hero, known everywhere. It wasn't her choice, she'd been tasked with it since she was a girl. Her parents…she was doing it for them. For their memory. Everybody thought she was a carefree girl, the life of the party. They didn't see the real her.
Yang would bring peace to the world, nobody else was going to die.
