(Hi guys! SO I was having a Les Mis attack and felt the need to write! Love y'all! THIS IS GOING TO BE AU!)Disclaimer: I don't own Les Mis (If I did, they would've lived ;_;)"When the pup grows-" and with a resounding BANG of a gun, the little boy fell to the pavement. He blacked out, leaving the world of pain he was living in for a temporary moment. Courfeyrac rushed over in tears and scooped the small lad up. Gavroche appeared to be dead. The older man set the boy down and pleaded with his medical student friend, Joly. Joly shook his head, saying there was nothing he could do for the boy.
"Please Joly, you have to help him! He's dying! Have you no soul?" Courfeyrac shouted through tears.
Joly grabbed Courfeyrac by the shoulders and said, "He already is dead Fey, see reality! Stop living in the clouds! He's dead and so is Eponine! We're all going to die and there's nothing I can do about it!"
Fey put his head in his hands, "He can't be dead, just try, please?"
Joly sighed and went over to Gavroche and heard a heartbeat, "Dear Lord, he's alive!"
And with that, Joly prepped to remove the bullet. While the medical students was getting supplies, Gavroche's eyes flickered open. Courfeyrac didn't know what emotion to feel when his eyes opened. He was obviously glad to see the boy awake, but it would have been better for him to surface after he had been mended.
Gavroche let out a small groan, "Fey? s'that you? where'm I?" he tried to rub his eyes, but flinched upon moving his abdomen.
Courfeyrac rushed over and gripped the boy's hands, "Gav, don't move okay? Joly's gonna fix you up, just don't move"
The boy nodded and Joly returned and grimaced, seeing he was awake. He forced a smile and walked over.
"Hey Gav, hold still for me, eh? I'm just going to fix you up, alright?" Joly said, while pulling out supplies. Gavroche nodded and Joly started to remove the bullet. Gavroche groaned and writhed around. Fey held him down, soothing him and coaxing him to remain still. Soon, Joly had removed the bullets inside the gamin's shoulder and chest. Joly took some cleaning solution and dabbed it at the wound.
"Joly, quit it! That 'urts" the boy whispered. Joly frowned and continued.
"I know 'Vroche, but it's necessary" he said and continued to clean the wound despite the small protests.
Once he finished cleaning, he stitched both wounds and wrapped them tightly. The boy fell back to sleep and Joly cleaned up. Fey moved Gavroche into the cafe. Outside their little scene, the soldiers had began to attack the Amis. Courf and Joly joined the group, fighting for freedom.

After mere minutes of bloody battle, all were dead but Enjolras, Joly, and Grantaire. The soldiers rounded them up and chained them. They were all confused. Why hadn't they shot? A soldier walked out of the cafe with Courfeyrac carrying Gavroche in tow. They were the lone survivors (except Marius). They were all brought to a building area and slept there, awaiting their fate in the morning.
