This is kind of a sequel to Ignorance of Doubts, which is more centered on Misa. I was going to make this neutral but then I thought...nahhh. I'll center this on L :D

Misa Amane is Second Kira. And no matter how much L tries, he can't shake off that fact. It doesn't matter that Misa Amane prefers to laugh off his oddities and tease him about them, rather than seriously rolling her eyes in disgust, she is what she is. Yet he still reminiscences. He remembers how determined she looked when he questioned her about the case which led to her declaring him her friend, which led to her kissing him on the cheek. Then he asked the question (or stated a fact?), and she gave him that uncertain look, and he hoped that she would forget it because this kind of thing is completely unnecessary. It's just his luck that the thing that tied them together is also the barrier, but why should he hope? When he and Misa are alone and they speak he does hope but then Light (Kira) comes in and shatters the whole thing, and steps on the shards unknowingly so not even L can pick them up. He can't, he's not allowed to anyway, but he still wants to, still yearns and desires. He knows that if he does, his fragile fingers would get cut and there would be no bandaid, because Misa Amane is the Second Kira – and who would ever love a murderer?

He commends Misa Amane on her talent. The way she claps joyfully with the shine in her eyes and the almost real innocence of her speech, manners and actions, it seems so honest and true. It's so despicable, he thinks. He wants to remind himself of that everyday, but all he does is sympathise, empathise because he lies a lot too. The one thing they have in common is the very thing they can not discuss. At first L was confused – Light (Yagami) lies as much as Misa (Amane) for something as horrible as killing (no, we're saving people, we're only killing the rotten ones, we swear –!) but for Misa (Amane) he finds it endearing. Why would he ever think such a thing? Curious, curious, curious, and he finishes things he begins to investigate, but this time he thinks that he should've stopped stopped stopped. Maybe it might have been inevitable to reach to the conclusion that his feelings for Misa Amane (not Misa-Misa) were a bit more than platonic (a whole lot more, so much more, so much it hurts a little, or maybe a lot) and he did not want to know something so hopeless and pathetic as that(curiousity killed the cat, but wasn't he more of a panda?).

Maybe Misa Amane could've fooled him being Misa-Misa, maybe if he wasn't so sure that she was the Second Kira he mightn't have detected anything. Even though L (Lawliet) and Light (Yagami) are far cleverer, far more intelligent than she could ever hope to be. But this time she's bested him, unconsciously driven him into a state which he can barely endure whenever she enters the room. He's unwillingly placed his heart in her delicate, dainty, pale hands. A reaction he couldn't stop because he wasn't socially evolved enough.

Poor, poor Lawliet.

This turned out horrible :D

Eh. It's done. ...Yay?
