Hey guys! This is my second fan fiction, by the way. If you haven't read my other one, you need to read it! Instead of the song recommendations, unlike my last fanfic, I will ask a question (that I expect all commenters to answer). If it makes you feel any better, I will also answer the question. Let me know if there are any grammar/spelling mistakes, as well as contradicting information. :)

Disclaimer: I do not own the awesomness that is Percy Jackson

Percy POV

I surveyed the battlefield, looking for any last monsters. Beside me, Annabeth said, "We did it." I smiled and turned to her. Gods of Olympus, she was beautiful. Even though she was covered in monster dust and was sweating, she was still the most beautiful person I've ever seen. "Yeah, we did it." I replied. We had finally beaten Gaea. The gods were here with us, helping the rest of the seven while I took on Gaea. I finally beat her when she overextended on a strike and I was able to get inside her guard. "HEROES! For your service in the war, we will hold a rewards ceremony on Olympus." Zeus boomed over the battlefield. I smiled at my Wise Girl. It's finally over.

On Olympus, the gods sat in their thrones while the seven of the prophecy, Reyna, and Nico kneeled. Well, I didn't kneel, but that is to be expected. "Heroes, we will now begin the ceremony. Jason Grace, please step forward." Jason got up and walked to the middle of the room. Zeus beamed proudly at him. "My son, we would like to grant you godhood. If you accept, you will become the god of the winds and my lieutenant for eternity. What do you say?" Jason smiled and said, "Father, I accept." Zeus shot Jason with a yellow light, and he glowed. When the brightness lessened, Jason was taller and glowed with power.

Aphrodite called out, "Piper, if you would like, I will make you the goddess of natural beauty and my eternal lieutenant. You will also get to be with Jason, which I know you really want." Piper turned red and answered, "Yes mom. I accept godhood." Aphrodite shot Piper with a pink light, and she too glowed with power and beauty. Jason's jaw dropped and he started drooling. Piper smirked. "Like what you see, Jason?" Jason blushed beet red. Ares shifted into Mars. "Frank, my son, I would like to make you the god of animals, as well as take away that accursed stick and make you my eternal lieutenant. What do you say?" Frank beamed and replied, "Yes." Frank was shot with a red light and soon joined Jason and Piper off to the side.

Hades shifted into Pluto. "Hazel, for your efforts, I will make you the goddess of gems and precious stones and you will be Princess of the Underworld, and should anything happen to Persephone, you will take her place. Not as my wife, of course." Hazel smiled with tears of joy in her eyes. "Father, I accept your offer." Hazel joined the others in Immortality Land. Nico soon followed, as the god of shadows and the Ghost King. Bellona flashed into Olympus. "Reyna, my daughter, you have made me so proud. If you accept, you will be made the goddess of inner strength and trainer of heroes beside Lupa." Reyna smiled with pride. "I accept, mother." Reyna was shot with red light.

"Annabeth Chase." Athena called out. Annabeth stepped forward. She was probably going to be offered godhood. She won't accept, though. I know it. Athena continued. "Annabeth, you are perhaps the best of my children there have ever been. If you accept my offer, you shall become the goddess of architecture and forever my personal advisor. What do you say, daughter?" Annabeth grinned proudly and answered almost immediately. "I accept."

I almost passed out; my Wise Girl just left me for godhood, even when she knew I wouldn't accept. I didn't even notice her transformation into a goddess because I was still trying to steady my breathing. "PERSEUS JACKSON." my father shouted. The room went silent. Poseidon looked around. "Is there anyone here who does not think my son is deserving?" No one responded. He turned to me. "Percy, if you accept my offer, you shall become the god of loyalty. However, you would not just be a minor god. You would become an Olympian. So, my son, what do you think?" I already knew my answer. "No."

Everyone was shocked; I could see it in their eyes. "Why, my son?" Dad asked. I sighed. "Because I feel that what makes life worth living are the things worth dying for. If I'm a god, I can't die; therefore, in my eyes, life has no purpose. I would, however, like a wish. Do you swear on the River Styx to grant my wish?" Zeus huffed, but said, "I hereby swear on behalf of the council to do anything Perseus Jackson asks, as long as it is within our power." Thunder boomed, sealing the oath. I smiled. "Great. My request is actually quite simple. I would like you to restore Lady Hestia and Lord Hades' thrones on Olympus."

To say the two mentioned gods were surprised would be an understatement. Hades asked, "Nephew, why would you restore our thrones?" I shrugged. "Because you two are the eldest son and daughter of Kronos, and you deserve to be on the council." Hades looked surprised, while Hestia smiled warmly at me. I turned my attention back to Zeus and raised an eyebrow. He sighed. "Very well." He waved his hand, and two thrones rose out of the ground. One was a deep onyx color with glowing multi colored gems sticking out. The other was completely covered in fire, but the fire was warm and cozy. The two new Olympians sat in their thrones and smiled in content. Dionysus leapt up from his throne. "LET'S PARTY!"

I felt uncomfortable at the party. Everyone was congratulating me and the seven, and I didn't like it. I just wanted to go home and see my mom and Paul. I walked around a little bit before I saw something that made my heart freeze. Annabeth was in the corner making out with a god that I unfortunately recognized. Yep. My Wise Girl was making out with Hercules. I mean, it's one thing to become a goddess knowing your boyfriend wouldn't and that would forbid you from seeing him, but then cheating on him with a jerk without telling him? My heart felt like it had been ripped out of my chest and sliced to pieces. I suddenly couldn't breathe, so I went out onto the balcony to get some fresh air. I gazed out over Olympus, which really should have been beautiful, but right now, everything seemed darker. Everything on Olympus reminded me of Annabeth. The statues, the temples, even the paved streets and benches. "Troubles, young hero?"

I turned around to see Lady Hestia standing behind me, a sad frown on her face. She walked over to me and wrapped me up in a hug while I sobbed in her chest. "Shh. It's okay, young hero." We stayed like that for a couple minutes before I finally pulled away. I wiped my face and bowed. "Lady Hestia, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be enjoying the party?" She smiled slightly. "I guess I could ask you the same." "Touche." She smiled. "I am not enjoying the party because I know a certain hero who has just lost his hearth. So, I came to help. And none of that 'Lady' or bowing. I do not care about formalities." "But, La- Hestia, I respect you, so I bow to you." I turned back to look at Olympus. "I don't understand, Hestia. Where did I go wrong? What could have made her want to cheat on me?" I asked. Hestia sighed sadly.

"It is nothing you did, Percy. She is a daughter of Athena. She wants recognition and fame. Sadly, that meant betraying you by becoming a goddess and dating a brute." I didn't answer. Suddenly, she said, "Percy, would you like to become my champion? I cannot stand you coming away from two wars with nothing for yourself." "But, Hestia, I like using my gifts to help others. However, I will gladly become your champion, if it makes you happy." She smiled brightly before touching my shoulder. My skin glowed a warm orange and I felt calmer, more at peace. "Thank you, Hestia." I told her. She smiled. "You are welcome, my champion. I will transport you to Camp. I know you do not like parties or the spotlight." I smiled gratefully and disappeared in a flash of flames.

Hey guys! How was that chapter? I hope my explanation of Annabeth leaving for godhood was reasonable. To all you Percabeth lovers, I do like Percabeth. I just don't think it fits for my story. There will probably be a fanfic in the future in which Percabeth is present, so do not fret, my dear readers! Next chapter will be posted soon!
