A/N - So I was stuck inside at lunch today and literally typed this up in like 10 minutes... let me know what you think! (Also sorry for any typos!)
Disclaimer - I own my cat Grissom, but that's the closest I'll get to owning anything CSI related
I will never forget the day he brought me home. He told me over and over again how excited 'she' would be when we got home. He said I was a surprise. I was scared, I was a surprise for my first people too...and then they decided they didn't have time for me.
They said they were sorry and cried when they dropped me off. I was scared... the place smelled funny and there were noises I didn't like. After what seemed like forever, he showed up and scratched my ears and spoke softly. I licked his hand, he smelled like good people.
He brought me outside and we got in the car and drove a long way, then we came into the house through the garage. I saw her on the couch; I could smell her all the way in the kitchen. She smelled like cookies and fruit. He let me go and I ran over to her, she smelled like good people too and I wanted her to like me.
She petted my head and cried and cried. She told him thank you, thank you, and then she rubbed my tummy!
They go away at night, but I know when they get back I get my walk. There are lots of fun things to sniff on my walks!
One day she came home and she smelled funny. Still like cookies and fruit, but it was different.
A few days later she was in the bathroom crying. She rubbed my head and told me he would be angry. I had never seen him angry, I was scared.
When he came home, she told him not to be mad, and he wasn't. He held her while she cried and told her they would be ok. I was happy he didn't get mad. I don't think he could ever be mad at her though. They are good people.
Soon she was getting bigger, and they painted the room upstairs. The paint smell was awful, but she seemed excited about the paint. I didn't understand it, but I don't always understand my people.
Soon he had to feed me, she said she couldn't bend down anymore, and I believe it! I was worried that if she got any bigger she might have to go in the car to the white place and get a needle!
Then one night she really smelled funny! I was worried! I stayed by her the whole night. He told her that I must have a 'sixth sense' and I knew something was coming. I wanted to tell him that she just smelled funny and I was worried.
Then they left in a big hurry! She was yelling and he was very nervous. They drove away and didn't come back for two days! He came home to feed me and let me out, but she was gone the whole two days!
When she came home she showed me a tiny person, I sniffed and sniffed! The little person didn't like it and let out a sound that really hurt my ears!!
I hid for a while, and watched as every time the little person shrieked he or she would get up!
I got used to the tiny person and her smell. I knew when she would wake up to go get the big people because she was gonna shriek anyway! He said I was a big help!
Now tiny person is moving around on her own! Yesterday I caught her trying to take MY food! I yelled at him and he pulled tiny person away. He said it was icky, but I like that stuff they give me!
Tiny person loves me, and I love her too! After all she is one of my people!
I just wish she wouldn't pull my ears... ouch!
