Dreams and Understanding
"I'm sure when I'm older I'll understand."
"I don't think I want to understand."
-Lucy and Edmund Pevensie; Prince Caspian-
It wasn't long before he understood, before he knew what had happened between his sister and Caspian, and he wished he didn't. He wished he could stay like Lucy, stay young and naïve about such things. Because, when he thought about it, he realized he wished he was in Susan's shoes.
His dreams, as usual, took him back to Narnia. But, this time, they were different. No longer did he dream of battles and of hunts, or of trying to save Susan from Rabadash, the foolish Calormene prince.
Now he dreamt of a forbidden love.
Now he dreamt of Caspian.
