Love happens. Even when you least expect it. So you can imagine my surprise when I came across a human scent. Human's scent. Scent. Too hard to resist, so I was again surprised when I felt sympathy for this stranger, how he would soon die, and it was at the hands of the most beautiful girl alive. Ha! Alive. That's a good one, Rosalie.
I realized that I was subconsciously hunting for this weak, fragile... human. But... why? I guess that I could resist, if I tried hard enough... remember Carlisle... but then I saw him. He was strong... for a human. He had muscles that lined every inch of his body. And dark, curly black hair and dimples, even as he was grimacing. there was no denying it. He was... handsome.
I was so caught up in his looks that I didn't feel it until it struck me in the face... the memory. A distant memory of the night I was bitten. The child of my friend, Henry.
This stranger had Henry's face... so beautiful.
Only then did I notice the large grizzly bear attacking the stranger. It must've been hard not to notice it, with its growls and snarls ripping through the quiet of the forest. He was covered in blood, the would be Henry's blood. I suddenly felt a rush of anguish at the thought of this stranger's death.
I ran to fight the bear off, and snapped it's neck. It had died by my hand... just as I thought the stranger would. At the thought of stranger man, I ran to save him. He looked into my eyes with obvious wonder. "Finally." he whispered, then fainted.
I ran almost a hundred miles with him in my arms. It seemed impossible, but somehow I did it.
I found Carlisle within seconds upon arriving home. Carlisle was in his office. he had heard me come home, smelled the scent of the stranger's blood, surely he knew what i was to ask of him.
"Carlisle... please!" I gasped.
"Are you sure?" he questioned, sounding worried "Is this the life you would want him to have?"
"Yes."
"Only If you are absolutely sure, Rosalie."
"Yes. Hurry!" His heartbeat was beating, but only faintly.
He nodded. then set to work. We cleared off his desk and laid him down.
Then Carlise bit him.
It was a scream worthy of torture. of course, I knew that it was.
"Kill me!" He screamed.
Agony tore through my heart at the sound.
Carlisle Injected some sort of substance into his arm.
"What is it?" I asked. Pain littered my voice.
"Morphine. Let's hope it works." But the stranger screamed... it went on and on.
4 days passed... It was torture to hear his screams...his pain and anguish and agony.
But finally he woke. He was gorgeous. his voice the sound of sweet honey. his muscles grew larger, if possible.
"Where am I?" he said quietly.
"Forks." I answered, and my voice broke.
"Who are you?"
"Rosalie."
"Rosalie," he breathed "Emmett. I'm Emmett. You are the most beautiful girl I have ever met."
And then I kissed him. It surprised me as much as him, but soon we both melted; butter in each others arms.
