A/N: I cannot believe I'm writing a pregnant!Brennan fic. Or one where B/B are already together. But I am. I wanted to get my view on why Brennan doesn't want kids out into the world.
Also, I'm working on both The Weekend and Guilt. Just know that. Writer's block is a bitch.

She held the e.p.t. up to him, letting his eyes scan over the reading of 'Pregnant' one, two, three, four times.
His jaw dropped slightly in shock. Not wanting to get his hopes up too soon, he asked a quiet, "Are you sure? I mean, shouldn't you try a second time, or…"
Brennan shook her head, and his sentence was left hanging without a conclusion. "This is the fourth one."
Satisfied, Booth broke into a grin, placing his hands on her shoulders. "This is great!" Looking into her eyes, he noticed her teary look, and his smile quickly faded. "This… isn't great?"
Her voice was unnaturally wobbly when she spoke. "I don't want kids, Booth. I can't… I can't be a mother."
Booth pulled her to him, securing her in his embrace as she struggled to fight off tears. He pressed a kiss to the side of her head and spoke gently. "Temperance, I know you like evidence and science and cold, hard facts. I know you're obsessed with logic and truth. And you know that I can't guarantee we'll always be here for this baby. You know that." At this, she whimpered softly into the material of his shirt, and he tightened his hold on her just a bit. "But what I can promise you is that we will try our hardest and give this child the best life we can. We'll work through this. Together."
Brennan's response was muffled, her face still pressed to his chest. "Are we ready for this? Am… Am I ready, Booth?"
Though she couldn't see it, his smile had returned. "You know, I think you are."

Please, I beg of you, do not ask me to continue this. Being the age I am (I'm probably younger than you think), I know hardly enough about pregnancy and/or being pregnant to write more. You want a good B/B pregnant!Brennan story, go read Caroline's Undoing. It's fantastic.
And don't forget to review!
