AN: Just something I wrote years ago.. .. I'm a lil crazy I know. But a girl can dream, can't she? This is Purejoy btw

He never wanted to hurt her.

But he has to say it was his fault why she left him.

It always seemed that it was him who was just a very drunk and violent husband who slapped and betrayed her.

He knows that this is true.

But he never told anybody why he did all that to her.

A long time ago he met her and they fell in love.

She did tell him about her best friend Gil Grissom and they met a few times.

Gil Grissom is really nice and just the kind of man he knew he, Edward Willows, could never be.

There were a lot of times he asked himself why she had agreed to marry him instead of this wonderful perfect scientist she works with. But he knew there was something, everytime Gil and his wife, Catherine, talked together or had a conversation, just something which he would never have.

They shared so much, work, fun and most of all the love for each other which they never told the other one.

He knew that the one thing between those two was him.

He always wanted Cath to be happy.

There was just one thing he could do to at least make those two happy. So he started to work out his plan.

He didn't want to hurt her but he knew sooner or later she'd want to leave him.

And that everynight after they fought she'd go to her best friend.

He knew sometime later she'd be happy with Gil.

So he started betraying her just to push her in the arms of the one person he'd always wanted to take care of his wife.

The one person he knew who could take care of her.

And by the smiles they exchanged he knew Cath and Gil are made for each other.

A few years later she finally was a divorced woman and grew closer to Gil.

Edward Willows finally got what he always wanted for her.

He decided to go to her work just to get them both pissed off.

So they would take care for each other and maybe he hoped they wouldn't be to blind to see what all those years had been and still is between them.

Of course there was a reason why he exactly said, 'I always knew you two had a thing.'

Maybe one day they'd just notice it, too.

Now that he's in heaven after his death five years ago he's glad that they finally got married yesterday.

Finally she's called Catherine Grissom.

And he always knew that Gil would treat her and her daughter right. And he's sure that somtime this year after one of their cases they'll finally find out that Lindsey was never a Willows.

She always was and will be a legally Grissom.

Far away from heaven above he can see them all together on a sunday morning sitting at the breakfast table talking about the stuff families usually talk about.

And it seems as it had never been any different.

There is just one thing they don't know yet.

Lindsey always told him she wants to have a little sister.

And she still tells him in alll her prayers.

He's sad he could never answer them but now he has found a way to do so.

As already mentioned they got married yesterday.

And in about exactly nine months Lindsey's wish will come true.

Then she'll have a little sis.

But until then those three have a whole lot of time together to do things they usually do.

For them it's just a normal breakfast on a sunday morning as many of those will be in their future.

But for him it's so much more.

Finally his Catherine is happy.

They all are.

The way he always wanted them to be.
