Chapter 6- Sol 33
Ok, no more temper tantrums. 5 days have passed and I've managed to rebuild much of the satellite. Found a manual, had to peek through our technicians private stuff (damn he's a perv) and I've been having much better luck.
Since this is an expedition to learn about new ruins, we've brought everything we could possibly need for a dig. That includes a crane. So I'll have no problem getting it back on the top of the Hab, thanks to the remote control. A few more days and I'm good.
Sol 40
Well, here goes nothing. The satellite is fixed. The crane is set. I have the manual in hand. I know what to do. Good luck to me.
Sol 40-2
Bite me, NASA. I got it all to work. The satellite is up and running. Point goes to Indy! Thanks to the crane it all went smoother than I thought. True, my nerves were high when I began to connect it all back to the Hab. But, all's well that ends well. I've been reestablishing links to Earth and making sure that the signals good. Because of the damage that it received, the data has to re-download. Almost there. Until then, I'm still in the dark.
Sol 40-3
Downloads complete. All data is recovered. Time to start sending messages… tomorrow. I'm tired as hell. Keep waiting NASA.
