PROLOGUE
Disclaimer: I don't own Transformers
As I looked at the destruction in front of me, I felt rage for the first time in a long time. Starscream would pay for this. Megatron as well.
"You can't be serious, Prime! Are you telling me that you trust him? He abandoned us!"
It hurt to me when he said that. But, it's the truth. I had abandoned them, my comrades, my brother, for my own selfish reason.
"Yet, he comes back." My brother turned to me with that forgiving gaze. "I trust him, Ironhide."
"No matter what happens, I am glad that you are my brother."
After what I'd done, I didn't deserve to be called your brother. Yet, you still called me that.
"Don't worry, Optimus. I'll make sure Bumblebee comes back in one piece."
I wouldn't lose another comrade, especially as young as Bumblebee. That's my promise.
"The coward is coming out of his hiding hole. What could you possibly do against us?"
I raised my blade. "You would be surprised, Starscream."
"No one passes me!"
Mech after mech advanced to me. They roared as they raised their weapons. Lots of them were fallen by my blade. The others were blasted by my cannon. And I was not stopping.
The big three soon joined the battle. Starscream, Soundwave, and Shockwave. I could hold them off just fine. But, not for long.
Megatron. My other brother. He was as strong as I remembered. Unfortunately, I was not in a good condition to fight him. I was losing. Fast.
I had failed. We had accomplished our mission. The Allspark had been launched to the space beyond Megatron's grasp. Yet, I felt that it's not important as I gaze down at his broken body. He had been tortured by Megatron because of me. It's my fault. I had failed to stop Megatron.
"I'm sorry, Bumblebee."
With one focus in mind, I transformed into my alt form. I soared higher to the space as the reinforcement arrived. I silently prayed to Primus, hoping that Bumblebee would survive.
It's hard to track Megatron down. It's even harder to catch up to him with my not-so-good condition. But, I did the impossible. Just outside the atmosphere of a small blue planet, I saw him. With the energy I had left, I forced myself to fly faster. Before he could change his trajectory to evade me, I crashed into him. We were pulled by gravitational force of the planet. We were falling down.
I woke up with a start. Sweat covered my face. It took a moment for me to realize that I was on my room. It's been such a long time since I had a dream like that. A dream of my past life. I curled back on my bed. One thing was on my mind as I tried to sleep again. I missed them. Badly.
