It was 3:55 pm on a Wednesday.
Today wasn't a particularly cheerful day in Gotham but then again it never was dark and cloudy, down pouring to be exact.
5 minutes.
Harley had only 5 minutes to make it to her appointment.
She overslept again. This week was particularly rough... she was lovesick. She met a man who was different from the rest.
He was intelligent, charming and very handsome.
She couldn't stop thinking of his smile, his smell, his voice. All she wanted to do was reach out and touch him, hold him, kiss him.
4:15 pm.
She skidded into Arkham's gates and met up with a guard on watch.
"Hey, Harley where's the fire?" he said laughing at the tire marks behind her.
"Oh HA HA," she replied sarcastically "I'm running late can you let me through?"
He tipped his hat "Yes Mame!"
She knew the effect she had on men, but none of that seemed to matter anymore since she met… him.
She pulled into her parking spot and ran for the door. She slid her access card and bumped into Joan Leland.
"He's waiting." Joan said eying over the drenched blonde.
"Okay, I'm ready" she said fixing her hair "How do I look?"
Joan chuckled "Like Hell."
Sighing, Harley was escorted by the guards and arrived at the room.
Her mind was racing with a million thoughts. Just breath.
Do I really look that bad? Is he going to be upset? Did I disappoint him? Does he even care?
She locked the door and before she could turn around she heard a soft voice.
"Hello Miss. Quinn, I've missed you."
She sighed in relief.
