Disclaimer thingy: yeah, naruto people do not belong to me, they love their beloved creator.. Blah, blah…
It is a dark and lonely night, a solitary figure walked down the concrete pavement just beside the road. That figure seems deep in thought. Concrete, bitumen and the orange glow of the street lamps accompanied on her journey home. Reaching the 24-hour convenience store, she gently pushed the glass door. The usual tune played the moment her feet passed the sensor. She looked at every aisle meticulously, she has no idea what she wanted. All she want is an object she can spend her money on.
My prelims are around the corner. Sheesh, what the fuck am I going to do about it? Can I even make it?
She has never had such depressing thoughts before. She aced everything a few years ago. All of that has built up her ego. Now that she is failing almost every examin secondary school, she has had it real bad. She hated that feeling of failing, yet she excepted her failure every time. It seems that people do change. She used to think that entering a good school is the best thing that had ever happened to her and now she envies those who can ace in less established schools. She felt like a total idiot to having such opposing thoughts.
Now what she needs is a bottle of bitter yet drinkable beer. Cold air rushed out, slightly ruffling her pink. She took a look at the green bottle.
Being 16 sucks, Carlsberg look so tantalising now. Damn it!
Then, she looked at another green bottle.
Sparkling apple juice. Cool, it looks like that Carlsberg bottle, just shorter. Fine, I shall take that.
"That will be $1.90 please."
Her hazy green eyes stared at the ground as her mind is as messy as a bachelor's room. She is trying to drown all of her unhappiness of the education system down with of all drinks- apple juice, but of course, it is all done in vain. Just then, something on the dark night sky caught her eye. Her green eyes lost all of its haziness as she looked at the moon with much rare interest. The bright full moon is surrounded with clouds, but none of them does not seem to have the heart to block all of its brightness. She sat down on the concrete steps as she continued looking at the moon.
It looks just like white precipitate.
She then laughed at herself.
Too many chemistry practicals.
"Those clouds look just like white precipitate. Care to tell me the solution of anion that would result in that?" a familiar voice asked.
Whoa, he has mind reading powers?
"That would be chloride and sulphate, Kakashi-sensei," she replied.
"Good, Sakura."
She turned back to notice him drinking a bottle of Carlsberg leaning against the metal railing. He flashed her that usual smile.
Good surprise 'test', sensei. But today is not a good day.
Even though her mood is in the doldrums, she tried her best to smile back.
Things always get interesting when your chemistry teacher is your neighbour since young. The relation that the both of you would share is a different type of teacher-student relationship.
Maybe even going beyond the normal boundaries.
She drank the last bit of the apple juice in the trash can and headed for the lift.
"Hey Sakura, take it easy. There is no need to treat sparkling juice as beer!" he shouted behind her.
I wonder if he is plain drunk or he really has mind reading powers.
"Sakura, I was like you many, many years ago," he whispered to the wind, hoping that she would hear it through the swish of the wind.
That's it. More than the last, hopefully better than the last.
