"And I want to thank you, for giving me the best day of my life

And oh, just to be with you, is having the best day of my life."

-"Thank You" – Dido

Hinata had no idea how she came to be in this situation.

Honestly, this was her perfect vision of heaven, and her most dreaded of hells.

It didn't make sense. One minute she had been contemplating how best to greet her golden-haired love as he approached her, and the next she was sitting within his arms on a hill staring at the almost gone sunset.

What on earth had happened?!

Hinata was ready to push back the pain at being in this situation when she came to a startling discovery.

She had none.

It was if his tanned lightly muscular arms were a barrier against her anxiety and fear that just came with his name. Those arms wrapped around her waist had banished all apprehensions with their dull warmth.

Just as she'd always imagined.

She hesitantly lay back against his warm chest and almost yelped and jumped away at the content, possessive purr that rumbled up from his belly.

Her pale hands reached up tentatively to hold onto his sun-kissed arms as she tilted her pale silver eyes to the now dark sky, stars dotted its murky depths and she breath out a appreciative sigh. Before she even realized what she was doing, words began to slip from her mouth,

"Have you ever seen such a beautiful sight? I could almost kiss the stars for shinning so bright." Hinata's eyes widened and a heavy blush settled over her cheeks once she realized what she had let escape.

"Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't mean-"

"It's fine." Hinata's words caught in her throat as his masculine tenor seeped into her brain, only a whisper but so powerful, she was silent in awe.

She felt him chuckle lightly as he tightened his arms around her and snuggled his face into her hair,

"You're so nice Hinata-chan, and once you let yourself go, very poetic as well." He pulled his face away and rested his chin on her shoulder. She turned her head hesitantly to lock her silver depths with his cerulean ones. And, for her, time seemed to stand still.

"I could almost kiss the stars as well, but I doubt you'd appreciate me kissing your eyes." Said eyes widened and then closed as she laughed lightly, finally understanding what he meant. He laughed along with her before turning his eyes heavenward,

"I mean, what's the big deal? Stars aren't supposed to live in your eyes. No wonder the Hyuuga has the Byakugan. But then again…" Hinata froze again at the feathery light kiss pressed to her cheek,

"I've never seen stars in anyone's except for yours, Hinata-chan." She sighed dreamily,

"Naruto-kun…" she hesitantly turned and pressed her own kiss to his cheek, silently delighting in the blush that settled on his whiskered cheeks,

"… It's not a Hyuuga clan trait." She smiled simply,

"Because I see them in yours as well."

Bundyangel: I really have no idea where this came from. I had one of the scenes above stuck in my head, and it refused to be moved.

I don't particularly like Naruto or Hinata, and yet, there ya go.

Hope you like it naruhina fans. It's cute methinks.

The first thing Hinata says about kissing the stars and what not is a quote/line thing from the song, "Hey Now" from the Lizzie McGuire movie.

I neither own that song, that movie, or the series Naruto and any characters in connection with it.

The quote at the beginning is a line from the chorus of "thank You" by the group Dido.
