24. Pick Up Lines.
"Oh, those are shoulder blades, I thought they were wings," Shane says, his hands on Caitlyn's shoulders as she tries to move away from him.
"If you're trying to seduce me with pick up lines, you're going to have to get a lot more creative than that," Caitlyn said, finally getting out of his grip and walking away. Shane follows her immediately.
"Don't worry, Caity, I have a lot more," Shane promises, smiling widely at her. "For example… " He thinks about it. "If I followed you home, would you keep me?"
"No," Caitlyn answers immediately, rolling her eyes. "I'm allergic to assholes."
Shane's forehead creases in thought as he tries to come up with another one. "Gray. Shane Gray," he says after a moment, trying to look at her with (what he hopes is) a seductive expression on his face.
"Lost. Get lost," Caitlyn says, biting back a laugh at his expression. "If that's supposed to be sexy, it's failing miserably."
"I don't have to try to be sexy, I already am," Shane says confidently, nodding to emphasize his point. Caitlyn just rolls her eyes at him once more and continues walking as Shane walks after her.
"Where have you been all my life?" he asks, grinning at her.
"Right next door," Caitlyn says automatically. "And hiding from you. If you hadn't realized."
Shane pouts. "Caitlyn, you're being a bitch," he says.
"Shane, you're being boring," Caitlyn shoots back, sighing as she puts her sunglasses on. "Now can you stop? No matter how many pick up lines you use, it's not going to work. I am not having sex with you on the kitchen counter."
"But… b-but Caity…" Shane looks at her with wide, innocent eyes, and Caitlyn swallows audibly but shakes her head.
"It's the kitchen! That's disgusting!" Caitlyn exclaimed. "And don't tell me it's kinky again, but if you do, I will make sure you are never capable of reproducing."
Shane frowns. "Fine," he mutters. "But two can play this game!" He nods decidedly.
Caitlyn snorts. "This I wanna see," she says, getting into the car. "Now can we go home? I'm hungry and I'm tired and I want to finish editing Mitchie's new song."
Shane shakes his head. "I'm staying right here until you decide you're going to stop being so mean to me," he says, crossing his arms in front of his chest.
Caitlyn rolls her eyes and gets out of the car, starting to walk to the nearest bus stop.
"Caity! Wait!" Shane exclaims when he realizes she's really going to take the bus. "Fine! We can leave! But I'm not going to show you the new song I wrote!" He smiles smugly.
Caitlyn turns around, pursing her lips. "Do you really think that was a smart move, Shane Alexander Gray?" she asks coolly.
Shane gulps. "Um… no?" he tries meekly, and Caitlyn nods, marching back over to where he was standing.
"Get in the car and drive," Caitlyn orders as she stares him down.
Shane nods and gets in, looking over at her. "Why?" he asks.
"Because we're going to have sex on the kitchen counter, dammit!" Caitlyn exclaims. "Now drive!"
Shane grins widely. "I knew you couldn't resist me," he says, looking at her.
Caitlyn narrows her eyes at him. "Drive," she commands.
Shane nods and leans across the seat to kiss her, wrapping his arms around her so she can't push him away, which he knows she wouldn't do anyway.
"Drive," Caitlyn insists against his lips and Shane smirks.
"Don't you think the car would be much kinkier?" he asks.
