"This is great..school's out, parent's are leaving," Caitlyn Gellar said, sitting down on the park bench.
"And the beach is calling," Mitchie said, as she extended her legs in the grass.
"It's the perfect summer. Best buds, the Gray mansion, no adult supervision," Shane said, slipping on a pair of sunglasses.
"I know right, what did we do to receive something this great? We can stay out as late as we want, do what we want, and no need to ask for permission," Nate said.
"We pay some kid to babysit Frankie and we're home free. And seeing as Jason is spending the summer with that Ella girl he met at college, no overprotective joy-kill," Shane said.
"Yeah, if my parent's weren't leaving this summer, I swear they would have made me get a job," Mitchie said.
"Should we have warned the customers at the local McDonalds?" Shane teased.
"Ha, ha. Doesn't matter, this summer is purely about chilling with you guys, hitting the beach and mall, and doing absolutley nothing," Mitchie said, lying down in the park grass, "Could this get any better?"
--
"Mom, now really? A sitter?" Mitchie Torres questioned, following her mother around her bedroom as she packed.
"The Gray's, Gellar's and us are going to be gone for the summer Mitchie. You don't seriously think we'd let four teenagers and a child be by themselves for three months, now did you?" Connie Torres asked.
"Uh yeah, sorta. I mean...we're old enough to take care of ourselves. I mean, I'll watch Shane. Shane will watch Nate. Nate will watch Caitlyn and Caitlyn will watch Frankie. See, genius," Mitchie explained.
"Nice try, sweetie," Steve said, walking out of the bedroom with two suitcases.
"Why can't we all just go to the Islands with you guys?" Mitchie asked.
"Because. This is a teen-free vacation Michelle," her mother stated.
"That's so mean,"
--
"I can't believe their doing this to us," Caitlyn said, as the four teens took their seats a the foodcourt at Bay Mall.
"What do you mean? It's three months, parent-free," Shane said.
"False," Mitchie said, "We're getting left with some deranged Mary Poppins,"
"It can't be all that bad. I mean, she's probably old. She crashes on the couch and we have the beach waiting for us everyday," Nate said.
"He's got a point, she'll probably just sit on the couch knitting doilies or some shit like that" Caitlyn said.
Mitchie and Shane nodded in agreement.
"What's the worst that can happen?"
"So, when are the parental units leaving?" Caitlyn asked.
Mitchie checked her phone, "In about an hour and a half,"
"Guys, I think its about time to go meet Granny," Nate said.

I know what your thinking..'Another story?!'...I know, I know. But I was watching the eighteen year old movie: Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead and I got this idea. I'm not so sure of it, but I was trying to write something else and got writers block, and alas, this was born. Should I keep going?"
